  1. Hi Thanks for this great info, been looking for a silent way of installing for a while without success However although it installed fine silently, SIMS Workstation would download but then the installs would fail When i ran the MSI Manually with the MST i found the RSAKey was defaulting to C:\ and not the MSI path which you say the SourceDir property takes care of, but i am not finding this to be the case? Im assuming this is the cause of my SIMS install fails

  3. I have since deployed them using Workgroup Manager and this is now working :-) I was pushing them using Profile Manager previously and it seems to ignore any custom settings that i set, so will use Profile Manager for providing the dock settings and restrictions and WGM for plists.

  10. Hi I am in the middle of planning a move from exchange 2010 to Google Apps I have provisioned all the users using GADS and have GAPS setup to sync all their AD passwords My question.. I want to transition students to using Google Apps for Mail before staff without migrating any existing emails, my problem is with the current distribution lists we have for our year groups in exchange, all our students have a .students.schoolname.net address and staff have schoolname.net address so moving the students would just mean changing the MX records for students.schoolname.net to Google so it starts to route mail to Google, but what if a member of staff who would still be using exchange and outlook needs to email a student or a whole year group, as exchange would still think this is internal and still route to their exchange mailbox, how would I change it so it knows students.schoolname.net needs to go external instead? Many thanks
  11. Hi I am after a bit of help with how Google deals with Distribution lists I have used GADS to synchronize all of my users, groups and OUs and has done this successfully, i can see my groups if i start typing the email address of the group in the To box and shows within the directory My only issue is how do i change the members of this in the future i have gone into Google Groups and all i can see are the groups i am a member of (i Am Admin) and going to all groups shows nothing? Thanks Dan
  12. After having a look inside one of the log files, i could see it was logs from our Network Policy Server, all clients accessing the wifi are being logged as well as other events now knowing where to look, i have found the settings and It is set to delete older logs when the disk runs out of space so this should cover it.
