My bases are actually super easy to do.. Everything is based.. But a lot of stuff isn't even primed, so I've got fully-decorates bases with sprue-grey models on top.. Because I'm that moron that pins every model, even tiny things like Termagants, Hormagaunts, Rippers, Neuroloids and Spore Mines.. 😅

There's been a surprising amount of games coming out in the past few years with a lot of accessibility options, but they're all single-player experiences because otherwise, it's just an unfair advantage in online play.

Congratulations, you've successfully experienced modern Battle Royale games. They're pretty much all hacker-infested now. If you want to continue with the game type, but play something where they actually care about getting rid of cheaters, I'm hearing good things about The Finals banning folk, and I don't see the Apex Legends crowd complaining much.

I used to play a bit, but I prefer DOTA I didn't really learn that many champions, but I had a few I could play for each role.. Urgot, Mundo or Ornn top, Ashe, Jinx, Jhin or Caitlyn bot, Neeko or Diana mid, Karma or Morgana support. Never learned jungle though.

Yes, but safety rules should be present only when there is a hazard to mitigate. Having long hair that isn't in a ponytail/bun/etc isn't an exceptional risk in most circumstances, neither is jewellery. Therefore these rules belong not in the dress code, but the workshop/PE/etc class.

I'm not convinced. The dress code doesn't just encompass clothing. Every school I've been in, both as a student and an employer - the only one exception being college which kind of doesn't count as 'school' by virtue of colloquial understanding - has had rules around hair styles and colours, jewellery (including necklaces and rings), piercings, and makeup. These are all things that we use to communicate things about ourselves, just as we do with clothes, and they are equally quashed. Some have merit - expensive jewellery can be stolen, and excessive piercings can risk injury, but my current school has a 'boys hair must not touch their collar' rule in the dress code, which to me is ridiculously excessive - I've had hair longer than my collar since for nearly two decades! Yes, hair can pose a risk, especially in a technology workshop, but that's why safety measures exist, and no such rule exists for female students, so I'd argue that's an unfair and pointlessly autocratic rule (though I couldn't tell you how well it's enforced, and I can only assume we have no Sikh pupils, or that religious exemptions exist?)

I don't remember such daft rules at any of the two schools I attended or four schools I've worked in since! Only time style/colour was policed was 'standard' uniform (shirts, ties, blazers, etc) and footwear. Sounds like you've got an autocrat in the upper ranks looking to flex their nuts.

Touché I think the only real play here is get the consultant to give up that document so it can be put in a Shared Drive/Team Drive (I forget which is the new name and which was the old name..) so you have control of the access, and can modify it as needed. That's kind all you can do, by the sounds of it.

If your users aren't on-prem, you can create an administrative role in G Suite that you can assign people to, which gives them the ability to reset passwords. IIRC they'll have to use the Admin panel, but they'll only see the Users module, and you can limit whose passwords they can reset, so they can only do pupils. Keeping a spreadsheet of passwords just rubs me all sorts of the wrong way.

Also possible through PSGSuite with Add-GSCourseParticipant if you're more comfortable with PowerShell Edit: I haven't used GSuite for a few years but essentially, there's no 'read only' way to view a classroom, you have to be a teacher, which is a bit poor form for troubleshooting. Surely your issue isn't a G Suite issue, though? Delegate reset password permissions on your root pupil OU to the staff security group (or maybe just ICT Teachers group or similar?) and then give them a password reset tool like Cjwdev's one?

I'm annoyed that UniFi have made it so you must have a Protect appliance now, you used to be able to wang it into several free NVR softwares (like XProtect Essential+ which gives you 1 site/8 cameras for free), but I do have to be reasonable and say it does 'just work'. Needs someone with a bit of technical know-how to install, but once it's in it should essentially just run itself.

Trying to debug this one and it's driving me bonkers. Staff are trying to login to iam.pearson.com and it's consistently crashing when they try to login. It doesn't happen on an unmanaged device, so it's clearly something to do with the settings we're pushing to Windows or browsers. It doesn't happen for admin accounts, or accounts outside of the typical scope, so that infers it's something to do with user settings/policies. But now I'm hitting a roadblock. How do I drill into this more? It happens in Chrome, Edge and FireFox. The browser will hang for ages, before Chrome and Edge complain and give you the option to terminate. chrome://crashes and edge://crashes don't give me any useful information. Annoyingly, Firefox seems to handle this issue better and eventually recovers, so nothing at all in about:crashes. Nothing in event logs. Kinda stuck now.

'lo everyone! So our marketing dept run a lot, I mean a loooooot of accounts. There's like 50 twitter accounts alone. So our marketing bod uses TweetDeck to manage them all. Now apparently they want to make instagram accounts for tonnes of different subjects/sports/etc and wants to know if there's anything similar for Instagram/Meta stuff. I know you can sync accounts into Facebook Business Centre(? Suit? Something or other) which can be used to schedule Instagram posts, but that's pretty much all I know. Anything out there that anybody can recommend?

I'll admit I didn't know that - your ticket reporting function only lists 'NetSweeper' and 'Firewall' under Filtering/Firewall - but that's besides the point really. Regardless, I've already made my displeasure with SBB and their implementation of NetSweeper known elsewhere, so I don't want to rehash old ground, least of all in a way that's going to derail someone else's thread

As a user of their filtering: Can confirm, don't use their filtering. The internet itself seems reliable enough, in the 1.something year I've been here the only downtime was BT changing a circuit. But if you're not hankering for off-site filtering, I'd advise getting in a Sophos XG or a FortiGate or something rather than using their NetSweeper.

Blockchain is for the most part completely irrelevant to ICT in education. The only potential upside is the immutability of the blockchain/record, and there's only one thing I can think of that needs that: backups. And we already have that... they're called immutable backups.

I'm part of a homebrew campaign, every 2 weeks. Currently playing a Level 14 Orc Barbarian/Blood Hunter It's an.. interesting campaign. We're not quite sure what's going on yet but we're pretty sure the big bad is doing some kind of alchemical-sciency-magicky experimentation and is making dragon-like abominations. .. although we've been sidetracked because the DM had a fey creature stalking us and it dropped a book. I read the book. This has, by all accounts, been considered a bad move. It was The Scrivener's Tale. Now I have the Scrivener's mark. We've tracked the book through the last time it was sold at auction and we're trying to follow in the footsteps of the old baron who bought it and spent a considerable amount of his fortune chasing something.

Lookin' good! I should start painting again. Petered off it because that's how my stupid ADHD-brain works.. But I might have sold a bunch of Drukhari recently and ordered myself the Norn kit with some of the proceeds So hopefully I can kick myself back into painting once that's build and magnetised.

Looks like it still relies on RTSP which this camera seemingly won't output despite it being enabled.
