Couldn't agree more! Get the infrastructure right first and everything else will be better in the long run! Would invest in a core switch, get your vlans sorted to split off wireless traffic. 'No one was ever fired for buying Cisco'

Hyper-V All the way then!

I agree with jamesfed, VDI-IN-A-BOX is very easy to set up, it does have it's limits however - one of which is the inability to use dynamic memory within a Hyper-V environment (don't know about VMWare). Also the educational pricing is good.
