We use mostly full HD moniters, the computers have plenty of power, why try to hide that and make people try to squint through a postage stamp to use it.

On a similar note, Outlook 2013 does not work with Exchange 2003, error pops up something along the lines of 'too old, not supported, contact IT'.

Yeap 2012, no sense in starting on the back foot. 2012 Hyper-V is already avalible and several on here are already using it successfully.

I think this is because they wanted it transparent and not to step on the system crippeler/AV vendors market. You can still scan stuff by going through the control panel and targeting a custom scan but could not find a way right click it. It does perform on access and on download scans (for ie) so it is generally still scanning stuff.

Also had it fail with Ex 2003 and 2007, thought the lazy dropkicks had fixed it though.

Can you actually see the files, I had many issues with Linux just dropping its filesystem and needing a full chkdsk type disk scan from the install cd to get it going again.

Might be an idea to get the coolant system checked and flushed, without the proper additives things can get a bit squiffy in the cold. You could do that by checking IP range, DNS domain of the interface, pull the wifi interface name and make sure the ip range is not on a VPN interface. So you'd need an extra three bits in the config for the checks and you could probably pull all the required info off WMI calls.

Push, just as it is easier to script, I'd love it to log the machines left on and especially the users left logged on so that they can be 'gently' 'trained' to do it properly. Local action from GPO would be more robust but would still be great to have the log-back function.

Apparently google apps is still very limited on stuff like iPads and even Googles own tablets, sure you can install the app but there is still limited function. Yea, unfortunately half of that would come from suing the US government and media companies for unlawful damages (destruction of a business) without evidence or due process. Ever known the US or its media company puppeteers to obey a law that does not benefit them. It would be good to have more than the one provider of decent bandwidth for the whole country though.

I don't know lots of the teachers names either, I do work in multiple schools though. Always asking what their username is as a workaround I used to know most of them but there was a large amount of staff turnover for a while and I just gave up.

Or core switch for example was 66% cheaper thanks to the suppliers importing all but the PSUs from America. This is a wildly difficult question, those values represent peek draw with full drive bays screaming with 15k drives at full tack, the hottest fastet CPUs and all expantion cards in use pulling down max voltage. The actual useage of power is generally much lower. As others have said, the PSU sharing is also dependant on the hardware, most hp gear tends to run at 75%/25% for primary/secondary so that both have an extended lifespan but the likelihood of them both going at the same time is reduced. This is 75%/25% of actual power usage though not the peek power of the CPUs.

I guess 5 is a lot less than 25 so they used different rules.
