  1. I am testing a Windows 10 deployment but the install hangs (Step 53 of 91) at the "Please wait" screen if computer accounts are pre-staged in AD. The accounts are in OUs already as the laptops currently have Windows 7 on them. If I delete the accounts from AD first and redeploy, the install still hangs but a manual reboot then goes through without any further issues. I have added the AdminPassword option to CS.ini Any ideas?
  2. Could you post a screenshot or two of your tasks by any chance?
  3. Has anyone got any recommendations for replacement batteries for Dell Latitude 5430 laptops? Always a bit wary of buying replacements as have had some dodgy experiences in the past. Originals are 60Wh 5350mAh 6 Cell Li-ion T54FJ Thanks.
  4. I didn't have to complete a survey.
  5. I guess that's possible but wouldn't they have been before anyway?
  6. Each user logs in with their details and has access to their files from within various apps. Admittedly, I haven't yet tried on shared computers only ones assigned to particular staff.
  7. Why not? My tests have been encouraging so far.
  8. No, one drive that then contains 2 top level folders: My Drive and Team Drives
  9. And an offline installer.
  10. Seems so.
  11. No idea. Haven't had a chance to try it out on anyone else yet.
  12. No interaction (apart from entering credentials and agreeing permissions) needed from the user. It simply presents the user's Google Drive as a mapped drive (I: in my case) and allows you to interact as a normal Windows based drive. Seems pretty seamless. Right click on any files/folders to make them available offline exactly as the native Windows offline files works.
  13. Got the email a couple of hours ago...first impressions are good.
  14. But then they probably don't have three Christopher Smiths and two Louise Browns! ;-)
  15. Just trying to get this sorted now on a new installation. It seems from discussions (support don't seem to know much about it themselves yet) that users must be provisioned in MLS first before Azure will then match details. Ideally, Azure would provision users automatically but MLS requires more user information than is contained with AD.
  16. @VeryPC_Ross Did you get any further information about this?
  17. Can anyone recommend an alternative, replacement projector for the UF75? I have seen mention of Epson making one that will fit on the existing brackets but not sure which model. Thanks, Dave
  18. Always On - no issues in 4 years.
  19. How would the other filtering/firewall options fare in comparison e.g. Smoothwall, Lightspeed, etc?
  20. We're looking for different options on filtering primarily, however there are a few connected issues... Requirements are to be able to have different profiles as well as transparent filtering for BYOD and guest/community access. We also have a need for a temporary (September to December) site-to-site VPN between the main building and a satellite building. Both buildings will be using their own, separate internet connection so would like devices to be directed (over the internet), and back into the main school building in order to make use of central services, file access and filtered internet, etc. If possible, I'd also like to be able to utilise the VPN to plug in a telephone handset which would then be connected through to the existing phone system in the main building. Any chance of that lot working?!
  21. Currently being quoted around £450 for an embedded PaperCut license and 1 years maintenance...plus £760 for setup...plus £530 for the PaperCut MF server license - this is for one MFD (C368). This seems huge?! I'm also struggling to work out the iOptions bit and how that relates to the embedded client?
  22. Just to answer my own question for anyone else who might be in this situation in the future... We didn't need any licenses as the DSP card already installed comes with a number of licenses for IP phones (8 IIRC). However, the firmware version of the NCP500 was too old for the newer 5 series phones so that had to be upgraded first. With a little bit of help from the Internet, I managed to retrieve the INSTALLER password, download the latest maintenance console and firmware, upgrade the system, restore the original configuration, register and setup the new extension. Took about an hour.
  23. We have an NCP-500 phone system with various (non-IP) extensions and now need to add an IP phone. The original supplier is quoting close to £500 for a KX-NT551 handset and extension license. My question is, what is the extension license and can it really cost that much? That model of phone can be found for around £80 online which makes installation and license very costly!
  24. I'm looking to buy about 16 Otterbox Defender cases for iPad 4s. Does anybody know anyone who can supply them at a sensible price?
  25. P.S. Everything works fine if I manually enter the URL to the WPAD in the WiFi settings.
