On my way up this afternoon. On a very random note... the other week i had a member of staff approach me about a PC she needs for her architect(?) husband. She wanted to know of an independant company, so obviously i told her about you guys and that i would be meeting you soon at BETT. Today it turns out she has written a letter that i have to hand to you guys with her requirements! That's a first for me anyway...

In all seriousness I'm going to escape things for a bit. Need a distraction.

so......how does one get hold of a CLSID?

Well, my original XML contains them already...for instance TuxPaint...

I 'm guessing using the GUID's I can add them to my XML that's being shared....but why some but not others?!

Right, I'm still trying to get my head around this. Trying to work out why I have some tiles and not others. The ones I can see on my start screen are the ones that I use a GP to install locally on the machines. Okay, fine. BUT there are also programs I've installed locally, like TuxPaint, Junior Librarian etc that refuse to show up. Why is it any different? Is it how the software is written? Is this where I have to start adding GUIDS....

I ended up getting another set of eyes on it and it resulted in my Curriculum GPO being rewritten. If I remember correctly it was something to do with the All Users folder. So I now have a start screen on all the PC's....but with missing tiles...
