yep I totally agree. some staff here do 3 generic reports bad, good, super and then mail merge the kids name in to the report. IMO i think its bang out of order. Its not personalised well enough. Parents want to know more accurate information to how their kid(s) are doing and their not. Been saying this for years. The seniour staff agree with me where the new breed of teacher is using technology to there full potential, which in this case is unprofesional and plain lazzy.

so you've deleted the printer off the server but it re-apears on the staff account when they log on to a machine? am i getting this right? you all so say you haven't made the staff profiles .man which suggests to me you need to load the .dat hive and search for the printer. then you can delete the printer from the .dat profile.

tyring to access Primary games but it come up with page errors in the bottom left corner of explorer. It wont display any flash. If i disable the cachepilot in 'Lan Settings' the site loads fine. Windows updates, and flash all upto date any suggestions? cheers

Sorry i didnt scan read your post very well. try removing the device in the device manager shut down machine, disconect deive start the machine again, shut down again, reconect drive and then the machien will auto detect drive. now try setting the region.

right click the dvd drive in question and select properties -> Select the dvd drive that needs region changing -> click properties button -> select region tab -> now select the country you are in 'Unite Kingdom' click ok and then ok again to confirm. that will put the drive back to the correct region for you

ok, is it possible access the bt router control panel? if the other laptop dosen't work, just try changing channel number. I have come across the same problem before. one machine would connect and the other couldn't find the router at all. changing the channel solved the problem. let us know how you get on. also the laptop been member of a domain should not have any impact on connecting to other wireless networks.

ok now you have got me scratching my nut If the other laptop connects wireless then it can't be encryption. Does the laptop have a static IP address? will be diffrent to the one used at home

May be worth getting in touch with BT, it has been known for them to change the encryption key on customers wireless router and not notify them. I think this would be your next step, as you have already said it connects fine to your router and your friends BT wireless router and the router in question via cat5 cable.
