our desktops dont have audio play back devices. Now youtube wont play. If i install virtual audio cable utility it then works fine. This is an issue we have with playback of clickview videos too. Has any one created an msi of this utility for deployment? virtual audio cable

i need to delete these flash registry keys with a batch file. What would i need to do. My knowledge of batch file is basic. i have added this to reg file so far Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\7336CBFB9B7BEEA4CB91AC19E0DE57D5] [-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\03797D32A1CEE534388FAABEEF25730B] the called it with a batch file. call "path to reg file"

We are redirecting my documents. Each user ends up with 2 documents folders under their name. One points to the right place and can put files in. The other doesn't and gets accesed denied. We are not sure where the extra one comes from. If you del it and the user logs onto pc they not been on before it creates it again. hopefully someone will know why this is.

We need a usb capture card for clickview library manager. Clickview them selves say they cant. Does anyone else run clickview and a usb card?

I'm trying to deploy Sibelius 6 out via a batch file. I have put in this obviously with our key in. When you buy a smartboard you get a disk with the smartnote book software on. How many additional licences are included with that or is it just one? I'm sure we have it installed on to many pcs but not sure of official number.

We are targeting at a staff security group. If I change name with replace it makes the change. Seems only way is to use the delete pref option. But that starts to get messy with multiple prefs per item.

We are pushing ie favs out via prefrences. This works. If I rename the favourite it applies at next login. But where we have a user that has a shortcut and should be staff only and apply targeting to staff security group. the student will still have the staff only shortcut. When it should just be staff that now get that. hope that makes sense.

Occationally we are finding files appeareing in the redirection folder. Whats the permissions needed so it works. I have staff and students read only. I have system in there as well as creator owner. I think its one of these thats putting files in. I'm reluggtant to take either out incase they are needed for redirection.

We have exchnage 2007. is it posible to stop students from emailing staff distribution list but allow staff to email students.

we have an apple configurator image setup as a master image for ipads where we have set some settings. We find that if we add mail account settings into that image and then restore, the password gets stripped off. This is also case for pass code Does any one know how to get5 round this. We want to set mail, icloud up so when we image this does have to be added al the time.

We have a piece of software that has to have a mapped K: drive. We use gpo prefs to create and that works fine. We have also set in the prefs to hide that drive so kids dont mess with config files. Yet all of a sudden the drive is visable. The settings look spot on. We have also ruled out roaming profile.

Have tried this reg fix today but made no diffarence. When clickview loads it still wants an audio device to play back the videos properly.

we deploy to over 700 pcs with no probs. even prep school have diffarent one. we push the wall paper image from a deployment share via group policy prefs. Its the FILE option in prefs. copy your jpg wallpaper from a deployment share to this location %windir%\system32\oobe\info\backgrounds\backgrounddefault.jpg then in group policy there is option to set. navigate to: Computer Configuration\Policies\Administrative Templates\System\Logon. we use clickview here and audio is not needed on some of the pcs. just the video play back. windows thinks theres nothink to play back audio and so click view wont play video as sais it needs a sound device. Is there a way to trick windows into thinking there are head phones plugged in so click view will play the videos.

Yes i agree printer man would help, but is on the network man plan long term. its never been seen to be needed.

we have a number of these printers. When we get a ticket saying they not working its usually because they are saying insufficient memory in the event logs. Staff say they aren't sending large files to printer. we are using a pcl6 driver could this be driver related????

We have tosh laptops here that every time the user logs in the f11 function gets turned on and then has to be turned off otherwise you type stuff you dont want. I've looked in bios so far and tried a reg change. Still does it. Any suggestions?

we know what to display its just how we bring the sophos console, and other data into a wall of screens without having a pc on every screen. dual head cards will do to certain extent but tricky when many screens needed.

we want to build a monitor wall in the office to display network stats etc sophos, disk space as well. Does anyone know a good way to do this with out spending a fortune.
