Hi all, I want to set up Link Aggregation on our backup server, I have seen it before where you have two network cards on a server / computer but on the os it is only desplayed as one and they share the connection, eg. if you have 2x 1Gbps network cards they combine to become a 1Gbps connection Do you have to have specific software / hardware to set this up.. if so / not does anyone have a setup guide. Hi all, Once again we have a problem where an xp computer just looses all of its restrictions and doesnt pick up any gpo's. the computer has not been moved in AD and all Policys have stayed in the same place, the students have gpo's restricting them aswell, which havent been moved or changed. its just on random computers that they loose all gpo's, only the H:\ Drive is mapped, they have access to Control Pannel, C:\ Drive ect, they cant change major things on the computer but they can access them. The only fix we have found is to WDS the computer but then a couple of weeks later with another computer, not connected with the last, we get a call from a teacher saying that a student cant access the R:\ Drive have a look and the computer hasnt picked up and GPO Has anyone had simular problems with this in concern or has any answers Much Appreciated.

we found that holding down the exit/off buttons for 10 seconds worked

One of the bulbs for a NEC VT470 projector has blown, we have replaced the bulb with a new one, but still the power light is orange and the bulb light is red, is their a reset button / code ect?

Hi All. When drawing shapes on the notebook software, you click on one shape eg. a square but a compleately differant shape is drawn eg. a circle. i have fixed the problem on another machine by unistalling and reinstalling the product, but on this machine it has not changed, i have also removed profiles on the machine to no evail. Help Please

Hi all, We have our ranger outpost server running on server 2003 R2, which also is our DC3. it seams to not be working internaly, users can connect from out of school but if they are in school trying to connect from their staff laptops in school they are unable to connect. they get an error message that states, "The address of the Outpost Server was not found. No such host is found." Which states that the server is offline which it isnt, we have checked the logs and students are accessing it from home, and if i log in on the server it connects, but if i try and log in from my tech machine i am unable, this used to work. Any ideas guys? Many Thanks

Hi all, We have just had live@Edu set up and second day back with members of staff using outlook 2007, outlook constantly askes for the user credentials. the fix i found was to reset the users password a number of times and to keep closing and reopening outlook itself. does anyone know why it is doing this?

We have just imaged an it room to windows 7 using wds, when a user logs on for the first time and their profile is created an error message apperars on the screen saying 'error could not locate inf file 'C:\windows\INF\wmp11.inf' you can hit enter and the error message disapears, when the user logs on again no error is stated.. Is their a quick fix to get rid of this error message as kids keep comming up to us saying their is an error on screen, all we do is press enter and problem is solved after a long walk.

When trying to download a docx document from a website it saves it as a zip file. This happenes on both windows xp and windows 7 machines only running ie8 and is not a problem for machines running firefox or safari. we have tried changing 'open files based on content, not file extension' to disable, this doesnt work as it just opens up in ie as symbols.

impero is a good piece of software, with many features, one of which is veiwing student machine and you can also veiw the logs to see when, where and what they have been on (machines, software, websites, ect)

we include all software in one image and this includes windows update, so it all addes up, and we also want more room for updates and future software additions.

Hi all,. Our windows 7 image is 80GB atm and some of our decent computers have onlu had 80gb hdds put in them so we need to know before we start imaging them? Is their any free software that i can use to find out the HDD size of a computer and export it with the relivant computer name, any ideas???

planning to, a colligue that no longer works here tried it in 2010 and was unable to compleate it as he believed that certain ports were blocked by swgfl firewall but didnt know what ones

we have tried setting it up before and have had problems when it comes to intial package, and seemed to be problems with the swgfl firewall..

do you know what ports are needed to be opened, so we can let swgfl know

Hi All. We currently have WDS running for imaging the computers and are getting FOG set up, are both machines physical or vertual able to be running at the same time, and if so how would a computers decifer which one to go to or do you get a choice? Thanks

just find the msi for the windows xp version of wmm online and its so much better than the windows 7 version or just buy premier elements.
