The problem though is that although I get the unauthorized page I am still able to browse My Files of that user that should be unauthorized. Is there a way to stop that from happening?

Hi Nick It is an AD Security Group...

I'm probably missing something obvious but having followed previous posts on the subject and I am confused... I have added this code to my web.config file... However when accessing with a user that is not in the [sec_HapUsers] AD Group it comes up unauthorized but I am still able to browse to My Files from the link that is above the unauthorized text in the drop down menu. I am using HAP 8.7... Any ideas?

I am waiting on the pricing of the ASUS VivoTab it should be around £700 so a fair amount less than Surface Pro but still alot'a'money.

MS isn't going to lose it's base in the corporate world as most companies will not want to retrain all their staff to support Linux based devices. Don't get me wrong I support Linux to the hilt but until the majority of Corporate Managers become brave enough to enter and embrace Linux the world will still be working on MS Exchange/SQL etc; The Tablet / Smartphone world is totally different and there is a place for all three but obviously Android will always win hands down. There is a niche for Apple and MS devices though.

I have just tested deleting files and zipping files works but no other functions work. I might try to rebuild it on another server later.

I export my Virtual servers to another server for DR works like a dream if ever I loose the main server I will back up and running in 5-10mins. Next task is to workout how to automate this with powershell but unfortunately I don't have the time to do this at the moment.

Hi... I have read as much as possible about this on the Forums but seem to have done everything right. I get 404 error when downloading a file. It is on IIS7.5 / Member server. I have HTTPS running and enabled Interactive Logins on the IIS server but still getting the error.

I am a great fan of clonezilla but use WDS for deployment. This summer I backed up all my workstations using Clonezilla before rolling out Windows 7. I just used a very fast pc and carried it to the workstation and used a very long sata/hdd power lead plugged the drive and cloned it to a 3TB disk. It took roughly 10 mins per machine and I have frequently gone back to the images to restore the odd file. It might seem a little old tech not doing it through the network but it is lightning fast. If you get the Clonezilla Server working please post back here I will be interested in your experiences. Wish I could help but I played with the idea until I decided WDS/MDT was the way to go.

I am very interested in this as it has been asked for by my SLT via a student. I have been trying to get normal minecraft through my smoothwall but not fully happy about how it is working. However I will try this as they state that I will not need to get through smoothwall.. Yipppeee! Edit: has anybody got the normal Minecraft server working in their proxied enviroment?

Hi I have downloaded and installed 8.4 for the first time. I have followed the instructions and tried many times on different servers but get the same end result. I am using W2k8 R2 and IIS7.5 with .net 4 installed... I have ssl enabled and working. I have read some other threads refering to /hap/api/setup/ Any help much appreciated.... No doubt I am doing something stupid... Trouble is I am doing something stupid ad inifitum...

Windows 8 pad then you can install anything and use GoogleApps / Office 365 for online. I'm guessing your school has MS EES agreement so it wouldn't cost you anything to install word?

It all depends what you are shopping for. I am looking for a device that is similarly spec'd to an ipad but has domain connectivity. So battery life, portablity and useability are important. My school are never going to go for devices at the Ultrabook end of the market. Much as I would like one I could never justify it for cost reasons. Same reason why Apple devices cannot be justified for cost reasons but also because they don't fit it to your average schools infrastructure. We will be looking at mid-end devices that have windows pro but don't cost the earth.

No Certs here... Loads of experience but I still consider that I know nothing. It is best to stay that way IMO. If you know everything your brain would be spread across your office walls and you would be a very boring person (if you were still alive!).

Do you have any sympathetic people that know enough about what us techies do in your school. Go and have a good get it off your chest time with them... Preferably down the pub. You'll feel so much better! We have all been there so we all feel for you.... Thank god its Friday!
