Add the pupil to the exam group and next logon they get a pop up telling them they are in exam mode, they only have access to wordpad and cant access usb drives and have there documents redirected to an exam area which sets up a new folder for them to save to. Scheduled task kicks them out of the group at the end of each lesson.

Hi Mike, I get this too and have had this on Windows 8 PCs. I think its setting up the default (apps which no one uses). I've removed the provisioned apps from some of our PCs and have yet to apply this to our server due to greater risk. Darren

One thing to consider is separating groups of settings you may want to disable for different users or computers. I once needed to remove restrictions from a set of users but because these were in the same gpo as essential settings I had to split everything up. I now have a gpo for settings and one for restrictions.

Do you have other PCs with the same GUID? There is a reg hack to block a certain GUID and only use the MAC address. Getting SCCM to ignore the UUID? Make sure you restart the SDW service after you reg hack, if it still doesn't work reboot the SCCM server to be sure. Darren

Hi Gareth, This can happen if the task sequence fails. The software in the sequence is installed but nothing further. Look for items that reboot the computer. I had this with a "Restart Computer" task that was set to boot to "The boot image assigned to this task sequence". Darren
