the web page flashes for a sec then it goes tot the 404 error page. java.exe and jqs.exe are the only things I see running

ok.. so I guess I spoke too soon.. I had to bring the old server back up so that we could view some FAQs.. now I have reverted back to the new VMWare server.. and the original 404 error is back... I ran the stop and start bat files from the command prompt (previously I just stopped/started the service) and the cmd doesnt just flash away I get the port 8081 is available.

ok.. so I got past the 404 error.. now Im just getting web page cant be displayed.

HTTP Status 404 - Servlet WOServletAdaptor is not available type: Status report message: Servlet WOServletAdaptor is not available description: The requested resource (Servlet WOServletAdaptor is not available) is not available. Apache Tomcat/5.5.23 just migrated our old server to a new VMware server and am getting this message... nothing that I know of has changed. I just inherited this system and am trying to work through it. Cant get to the admin page .. get that error.. Someone posted in reference to this earlier in the thread but I never saw a response.
