Hi Guys, I have been asked by a friend if it is possible to convert a physical XP machine to a VM and run it in a VM on a new computer. The reason for this is there are some programs that only run on XP he requires. I was just wondering if any of you know if this is feasible. A bit of googling suggests it could be done.

I Have upgraded a couple of our Mac with Yosemite and i am running into this issue with them as well. I have managed to fix it by either resetting the PRAM by press and holding the Option-Command-P-R keys when it boots and if that didn't work I help shift option and control to reset the SMC and that would fix it. I only have 3 macs with Yosemite installed an old 2011 one that doesn't ever have this issue and a couple from last year that run into this issue a couple of times a week. i have no idea what is causing it.

If I recall correctly the box around objects shows when you have the voice over feature on. I think you just have to fight your way into settings > general > accessibility and turn voice over off.

That look like something out of a up coming post apocalypse movie. Crazy to think of a whole city emptied like that. Its like a time capsule and a reminder to not be lax on nuclear safety.

Put my application in. Good luck everyone.

Yes I have updated one of our machines as a test and I am having this issue as well.

Does the keyword detection also run on the ipad client? has anyone tried it out yet?
-
Has anyone who has installed it also got bootcamp installed. I cant seem to get bootpicker to run at startup and let me choose my OS.

Well it is correct! Although I really think marketing like this should be controlled despite it not explicitly saying that sugar is good people will read that as if it is. Its like seeing adverts screaming about how good juice is for you despite it basically being different coloured coke.

iRIS Connect - Teacher CPD lesson Ob software
Badzeye replied to timbo343's topic in Enterprise Software
Sorry to resurrect the thread. We just had a demo of this in our school and I was wondering if there had been any improvements to the software especially not being able to upload automatically from a network share. -
I can throw in some love for squats, deadlift and bench press and pull ups. That is about all you need if you're strapped for time. Just hit 180KG for reps on my deadlift after struggling with a few groin and wrist injury's.

I keep all my thank you cards pinned up on the wall above my desk. After nearly 4 years of employment I have amassed 5 cards!

The Hibernator Breakfast: 7 Pounds: 8,000 Calories

Looked good until that milkshake came out. I think the breakfast would come back up after 2 pints of milkshake. Wonder if it would still count as a victory. -
ID badges/visitor register etc... How do you roll?
Badzeye replied to Jasbo's topic in How do you do....it?
We use Inventry here. It works well for visitors and logging which staff are in or out for use in a fire. It doesn't have an ipad version I think but it runs on a little PC and touchscreen in reception. -
Bioshock Infinite and the last of Us are the best games (story wise) I have ever played The last of us had me on the verge of tears at points and I have never felt so strongly for characters in any media as I have with Elizabeth from Infinite or Joel and Ellie in The last of Us. The Baldurs Gate series although a bit dated now was fantastic with some of the most easy to love and hate characters you can find. It lets you play as evil or good as you want without really punishing you for it. The first 2 Mass effects are also great the ending of 2 in particular will grip you to your seat and you wont be able to put it down.

I dont play it much anymore but used to play the original and HoN and LoL almost every minute I had the chance. Then we all grew up and got jobs and such so we don't play much anymore. When I do play know it only with 4 other people I know. Cant stand the community that these games attract.

We get this often as well. Your are not part of the BGFL are you?

I recommend a lot of what Scooby says its where I first went when I started getting in shape using his calorie calculator and tracking everything i sate i managed to drop down from 18 stone to 11stone 8 and now Ive bulked up to 13stone now following this advice. I also used the subreddit /fitness. I will also add dont be scared of going to the gym everyone is to busy thinking about what they are doing to take notice of anyone new.

I have been doing a club with some of the higher level year 2s going through some coding with them. They used espresso coding to begin with but it was to easy for them. I now have them creating some little games in scratch and they are taking to it well I hope to eventually to have them create their own game from designing it to then creating it and sharing it to the other members of their class.

Is it hanging on "waiting for the user profile service"? We had this issue when I first started here and had just moved to windows 7. In my case it resolving a DNS issue helped and then redirecting the user libraries from the users profile to their home drive also increased logon times. There are a number of things you can do to further reduce the profile size if you just search edugeek for "waiting for the user profile service" they will show up. Ultimately using local profiles will be easier if your staff do not move around. Pupils here have mandatory profiles which I followed a guide on here to set up and they work really well. I found offline files in windows 7 to cause the logon to hang on this same error message if it was enabled so I would check for the that on your machines if it is not needed.

I would assess what your goals are. Why do you want to do this? You don't need to "detox" your body it already has organs dedicated to that which do a fantastic job. If you are trying to lose weight I wouldn't recommend it either as simply cutting down your calories if far easier and you will feel fuller eating food rather than juice. If it just to be healthier running and weightlifting 3 times a week will do much more for you than drinking liters of sugar.

How does the Licensing work with the chrome books it is £19 as a one off per device or is that per year? Ive been meaning to look into using them as Ive been impressed with them at BETT. Although we already use Office365 for our emails so i`m not sure how well it would go.

We have been seeing this error here recently only in the last couple of weeks. Deleting the local profile and then having the user log back fixes the issue. I have no idea whats caused this to start happening though. - - - Updated - - - We have been seeing this error here recently only in the last couple of weeks.
