Any ideas??? I'm tearing what little hair I have left out here! I've been through and checked/changed/changed back all the LDAP settings in moodle with no luck. At the same time we upgraded php and I've checked and LDAP is enabled there. All I get is the incorrect password message on the login screen. It was all working fine for the 2 years before running this upgrade to 2.0.2!?!?!

Good Morning all, We've just successfully upgraded moodle to 2.0.2 on our MS Windows Server 2008 and LDAP has stopped working :-( At first I thought I'd solved it because it had been disabled in the authentication settings (upgrade must of caused it?). I enabled it and then tried to login again with no luck. The LDAP settings all appear to be there so I can't understand what the issue could be? Has anyone had a similar issue? If so how did you solve it? Any advice/help appreciated. Many thanks

Good morning, I've just had to put Cubase SL3 onto our computers in the music suite and am wondering if someone with knowledge of the software can help please. It's all installed and working fine but when you first launch the program and select a new project it asks you to select what peirpheral to use, I select the sound card and then click ok and it works fine. My question is can I set the default peripheral somewhere in the software so that it doesn't ask the student to select one when they login? Any help much appreciated as I'm new to Cubase. Afternoon all, Well it's here, the start of the new year and it's hectic! I need to provide the new staff with training for logging into sims.net etc and don't have time to go and see them. Has anyone got a quickstart guide that they could share with me to edit and distribute to my new staff members please? It would be greatly appreciated. Regards Dan

Good morning all, We have starcraft 2 and want to get it working onsite so that it can be used during gaming club. At the moment it can't contact battlenet so we can't play it due to restrictions with our internet connection. Does anyone know what ports etc we need to have opened? Regards Dan

I've tried setting local folder permissions but this hasn't solved it. The problem doesn't occur when ranger isn't installed or if you login as staff or admin which doesn't hide C drive. It's really frustrating as I want to get this job ticked off the list but I can't figure it out. Cheers Dan

Morning All, I'm in the process of making the originally seperate music network part of our main school curriculum network. I've installed Ranger and whenever I log in as a student I get an error "ma003dmn save failed!" (this is to do with an M-audio device). I assume this is because Ranger disallows access to the C drive. When I login as administrator the problem doesn't happen. My question is, Can someone point me to where in ranger I can change it to allow access to a C drive folder (ie. C:\program files\m-audio)? Many thanks Dan

Morning All, I've just migrated from Sql 2005 to Sql 2008 with no problems. Ive also just updated to summer release. My question is, we have SLG, what do I need to alter for it to work now I've migrated to SQL 2008? It's hosted by Capita. Is there a config file on my server I need to point to the 2008 sql location? Morning all, I've got to upgrade to sql 2008 for sims. I'm just getting pricing in and I need to determine how many physical processors I have in the server, is there any quick software method for doing this? My server has Intel Xeon E5310 and in device manager it registers 8 processors, Does that mean that cos it's quadcore I'd have 2 physicals onboard? Thanks Dan

Good Morning all, We are currently using Sleuth for our behaviour monitoring but are considering using the sims behaviour module. This is partly due to the fact that we already have SIMS behaviour module so we'd save money not having to pay out for sleuth. Also it looks a lot better than sleuth and we could let parents see their students behaviour records via sims learning gateway. Does anyone have any knowledge of either system? I assume that you can't move old data from sleuth into sims but does anyone know if I can access old sleuth data once the licence runs out or is it a nasty trick from sleuth to not allow access to old data unless you renew the licence? Also, I'm going to have to train the staff up on sims behaviour module, does anyone have any good training resources that they could send to me please? Any help and advice much appreciated. Good morning all, I really haven't got my thinking cap on this morning after an eventful few days. Does anyone use the TEShirewire website? I want to upload photos and edit our microsite with them to have our background images etc but the manage microsite panel is very limiting and will only allow me to select one of a number of pre designed backgrounds. Ok, Right I've now gone through all of the courses and checked that the correct ones are active and I've assigned supervisor rights for HOD's and HOF's. However, When a HOD logs into sims they still don't get Review profiles option? Do I need to update course memberships or anything like that? Many thanks Dan

I've spoken to the timetabler and she reckons she did assign levels etc in Nova 6? Is there a simple way to activate all courses using nova 6 and send it to sims? Thanks

Cool thanks, So I just go through course manager and activate all the courses? will this have any consequences or cause any differences in SIMS anywhere? Also, Does it matter if I activate a course that isn't actually used? Thanks Dan

Hi, I'm guessing that HOD's haven't been setup under course manager because when I just got a HOD to login to SIMS on my computer they didn't even have the Revie profiles option? What do I need to do to get this enabled? Thanks Dan

Good morning, Thanks for replying to my post on here and SupportNet, The way we check our student reports is: 1. Heads of Departments 2. then they'll be checked by SLT Can you explain to me how HOD's just check their departments reports please as when I log in (system Manager rights) and click Focus> Profiles> Review Profiles I just see all of the students in that year and have the option to read and approve them all. Is there a way that you can select certain classes to be able to review just your departments? Thanks in advance for your help. Dan

I'm new to SIMS profiles and have just made a massive mess up. I'm now at the stage where the comments have been completed for all year 11 students and they need to be checked / edited before printing and sending to students. I now realise that I should of locked the session and left it as active to complete the editing and checking process. Unfortunately I wasn't with it yesterday and changed the session to review mode (which I'm told is unreversible) thinking that was the correct way to do it. That has of course made it so that the reports can no longer be edited meaning any errors will remain there. Apart from bringing back the entire database from Sunday's backup is there anything I can do to undo my error or am I up the creek without a paddle? Any help much appreciated. Dan
