Need a favour What are your thoughts on the below? Client is requiring something that will operate in a similar way to Iris Connect in that he requires video observation of the classroom with audio and a remote controlled camera to be operated by the observer in a separate location. He needs communication between the observer and teacher via a single channel input earpiece to be worn by the teacher. The problem with Iris Connect is their licensing model as they can only use that solution on their premises they are not allowed to use it offsite, which is a requirement. What other solutions are you guys using? Luke

Right then, so the latest is: He said I'd have all the money and photos by Friday 1st Nov. That didn't happen. Nor did it happen on Saturday or Monday. So i decided to go to his studio yesterday morning but he didnt appear despite we waiting for about 45 minutes (& the same car driving past 4 or 5 times). I called him later on and he eventually answered telling me how stressed he's been & then put the phone down on me after I said I didnt care. I phoned him again and he answered and then hung up on me AGAIN. As you can imagine, I was a little annoyed by this so I jumped in my car and drove to his studio. He was in with some customers so he asked if we could speak outside (I said yes as i still want my money back). I then filmed our conversation on my phone where he said that he hadn't lied to me & then cheque was in the post etc etc. I asked him to cancel the cheque and write me a new one. He said no as it would cost him money. It went on for 15 mins before he agreed that he's give me all the money and the CD at 4pm in the afternoon. I agreed and went back to work. 10 minutes after I got back to the office, he calls saying that he has my cheque and the CD ready and asked me to come collect it now. I did. When I got there, he gave me the CD but no cheque saying that he never said that he was going to!!!!! ARGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After another arguement (which i filmed), he threatened to call the police on me! Ha. Anyway, i left it saying that I would check at home and if the money wasn't there, I'd be back later now. He emailed my wife saying " the only way I will communicate with you in the future is via email". Is this guy for real? THEN, about 4:30pm he called me on my mobile and spent the next 20 mins saying how sorry me was and how he'd handled the whole thing wrong from the start!!!! He then offered to give me the money in cash if the cheque doesnt arrive today and to do an album FOC with as many photos as we want! Gobsmacked!

Thanks buddy. Yeah we had wedding insurance and they're sending us a claim form. I'll ring round a few solicitors today and see what I can find out.

Congrats on your wedding I dont think I want the photos restaging (especially by him) because it wont be the same.

He said that he'd known for 3 months!!! But chose not to tell us, so he just ignored emails instead. I'll be taking him to small claims court but I havent done this before. Anyone got any experience in that?

After a long argument, I'm getting all my money back plus the photos that he does have on a CD. He got very shirty & laughed when I mentioned compensation so I'm taking him to court. Luckily the wife is the PA to the MD of the Sheffield Star so it'll be going in there too. Plus it'll be all over FB and Twitter. Oh, and on here. Thanks guys. Just spoken to him. He's managed to recover less than half but the biggest he can print them is 2x2! He's calling me back later on so I'll ask him about the SD card and the drive, We could probably muddle an album together made out of other peoples photos but no one else took photos of Emma getting ready with all her bridesmaids, parents etc and no one took any photos in the church as we thought we had a professional doing it for us! Gutted!

Hey guys, No, this isnt a promo to win my wedding photos, ha. I could do with a bit of wisdom/advice. As most of you know, I got married in June. Everything went perfect and everyone had a really good time. We paid for a "professional" photographer to take snaps throughout the day, starting with the wife getting ready in the morning and finishing at about 3-4pm. We even paid extra for him to do a "photobooth" which went down really well. However, 4 months have now passed and despite me and Emma emailing him, we've not heard anything. At this point, we both said that we wouldnt recommend him to anyone. The mother in law called him on Wednesday last week to chase some extra photos that she'd ordered and was told - "Oh, I was just emailing Luke & Emma now with an update, you'll have the photos by the weekend". We were happy with this, even though it's taken forever. Later that day, Emma got an emailing telling her that he'd LOST ALL OF THE PHOTOS!!!!!! As you can imagine, I was a little angry so I called him up and asked what had happened. The hard drive he used was "broken" and all the photos had gone. When I asked if he'd back them up, he said no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How the hell can he not back up the photos! This is his full time job!!!!! Obviously I'm getting a full refund (after arguing with him) but that's not going to replace the photos of our wedding. Emmas devastated and I'm furious so what can I do????? Take him to court? Put him in the papers??? What do you guys think? TIA Luke
