The thing is at moment coming up with arguments why should not be using it sorry all those can be got around. On one had people don't line being called but on other hand instead of looking at it from lets use them and work around the issues they bring up... I have yet to see one argument here that would stop them being used... But I better bow out before this post starts as a rant Russ

Well if got Andriod thread got to have Iphone thread As waiting for my Iphone to come what apps do people have installed/recommend etc Russ

Right been watching this.. I like the idea and any school willing to push the boat like this great. I can see lots of educational benefits to this think of Ipod yes got videos of the classroom teacher but heck lots of other good education videos out their. If got a school cutting edge like this maybe get someone with the skill to write an apps for the Ipod. Students will always engage with new technology in better way then traditional methods if nothing else than cool factor (key is harnessing that surge). Also in few years time doesn't matter what we think should be used it will be what ever the student brings in. Sorry some of you may have missed some of the opportunities here..

Judges review each entry based on a number of criteria such as design, cost-effectiveness, effective learning and teaching styles. For the technical evaluation, the robustness and resilience of each product, and its accessibility for those with specific needs is considered. Winners will be announced at the BETT Awards ceremony taking place on Wednesday 13 January 2010 at the Hilton, Park Lane, London, the evening of the first day of BETT, the world’s largest technology in education show.
