We don't use iSams, but do use Edval. I've just checked, and there does seem to be a couple option for iSams under the synchronisation option. (File - Syncronise - Configure, if you haven't already found it) They are (or at least were) quite responsive to adding in different exports when I asked them for a Schoolbase one a few years ago.

This may not be the same problem, but if you're on the XG series and on firmware 19.0 make sure you update to 19.0.1. There's a bug in 19.0 that seems to continually write to a log file on the config partition, causing the config partition to reach 100% full. Once that happens, the firewall will only boot into safe mode, passing no traffic at all. A factory reset seems to be the only option.

Hi all, I'm looking for some recommendations. We currently use Schoolbase for our school MIS for our term time students, which works well for us, however we are looking for something that could manage our summer language school and things like swimming lessons. Currently we are using multiple excel spreadsheets, which is becoming unwieldy and mistakes are creeping in. In both cases the users of the language school, and swimming lessons are not our day-to-day pupils, so we are looking for something completely separate, and am just curious what other schools are using. As far as I can see on mine, the parent interface is one of the NICs without any configuration on it. You'll then need to create 2 VLAN interfaces - one untagged, and one tagged, and configure the IP information on the 2 VLAN interfaces

Hi all, Is anyone currently running Apple's Caching server on a site with multiple internet connections? From what I've read the clients and caching server must be on the same public IP address in order for Apple to inform the clients that a caching server exists. However we load balance across 3 lines, so client traffic can come from 1 of 3 IP addresses I've spoken to Apple Support, but they were unable to give me any information on URLs or IPs used for Apple Updates, so I'm unable to add any firewall rules to force the Apple update traffice down a specific line. I've tried Google, but can only find people asking the same question, without any resolution. Has anyone come across this before, and found a solution? Thanks Gavin
