I do think FPTP isnt ideal here anymore, if you look at the weighting of votes against the parties actual representation as pointed out, its no true reflection of the wishes of the counties electorate, alternatives though I do not know about there. Proportional representation would be interesting against these results if based on the vote turnout I think. Edit: I just found out about Balls, hes a big scalp taken there from the labour party.

My constituency has swung towards a labour majority now, from 504 last time to several thousand this time on the turnout, which is little surprise here. Gower is a surprise and very marginal I see locally. I am glad on reflection that Lib Dems have taken a kicking and paid the price for propping up the tory government of last time (I say that as a previous lib dem voter). Sadly my thoughts came true, I could only see Cameron winning in the run up and the continued misery it means for this country having a tory government which pick on the weaker parts of society, lots know that tory pain having been born into thatcherism. Ed just was not PM material I felt, he lacked gravitas and I just don't think a lot of people accepted him, especially in light of how he grasped the leadership of the party, it immediately put a lot of people off him I think to openly stab family in the chest and suck up to trade unions to get leader instead of voting, added to the economy woes the labour party left the country in, it was a terribly hard sell.

Test disk is excellent and quite easy to use for a Linux based program, pulls off lots of stuff, I don't bother with windows programs for majority of file recovery as windows doesn't play ball with broken disks a lot from experience

I think I would support a system like Australia's in this country now, where voting is made compulsory or a fine issued to the person, turnouts below 50% are a waste of time imo, thats not a majority for anything regarding the country and we shouldn't let people hide behind apathy as an excuse. Voting hardly takes massive amounts of time and isn't painful. I think parties would work harder too because of it to keep promises.

I found it refreshing today to hear our pupils talking about politics and doing research on parties and their manifestos when I was minding the library as part of my lunchtime duties, found out later that they had an event where all the major parties were invited to talk to 6th formers and work for their votes Still alarming outside of work though, how people don't see their supposed protest votes for parties like UKIP are possible conservative votes :/

Hello All, I have just rebuilt our virtualisation cluster at our school to 2012R2, I did this by physically exporting all boxes off the machines, completely wiping it and rebuilding it from the ground up with the SAN and everything being reconfigured. I have finished the build stage now and its validated and running happily, but I am getting the following error when trying to move the VMs off the Node and onto the CSVs after setting up the high availability part of it, I did not get this message before. As you can see the General access denied error 0x80070005 isnt exactly helpful

Hello All, I am after advice as to software packages and solutions that can help with a problem I have currently, ideally free but low cost will be looked at. Originally when I started here at the school I work in, we were using Impero to carry out a site wide WOL at 8am every day, which worked fine, but we had to get rid of that unfortunately because of escalating costs and budgetary constraints. I switched then to Spiceworks and its Intel Power Manager feature for Waking our site every morning at 8am (wasn't ideal as you could only specify on the hour), it worked up until about 4 months ago, when an update seems to have stopped it from working for us. I have been through all the steps on the spice works community postings about fixing it which have not worked for us at all, at the moment I would say it only starts about 30% of our workstations so I am looking elsewhere. I have tried EMCO's WOL freeware, but that does not seem to start the machines up from what I can see, when I have trialled it, it does not have an effect. We haven't altered anything with regards BIOS settings or our build either to stop it working either, it just seemed that it stopped working on spice works. What software do you use on your networks ? is there anything that you would recommend me looking at ? Thanks, Rich

I have had this discussion with a few mates and colleagues lately, many of whom are in the market for one it seems, but waiting to see what it is like first, so someone needs to take the plunge. I have read a couple of reviews and the non-fanboi/payrolled ones seem to be lukewarm. I am not going to get one, despite just upgrading to an iphone 6+, its just not something I need, it is cool as a device from what I can see, but I just don't want to spend a wad of cash on it, largely also because I don't want to pay for another gadget £300+ and also I have a fully working Police watch that I had off my son for my first father's day which has more meaning It tells the time fine and the date my current watch, which I am happy with.

Radio one is absolutely dire, Radio 2 is decent from when I am in the office, Ken Bruce is excellent and I quite like Jeremy Vine, though he is quite subject dependant I find, Steve Wright is quite annoying I find, Radio 4 is ok as well (I tend to prefer talk radio I think to music). Nation Radio around here is quite excellent with the music too, good mix of old and new and not full of repeats

This scheme always seemed to be doomed to failure by its controversy alone I thought, as it was a one supplier solution and the setup of US schools districts and their powers compared to UK. We all know the pitfalls of iPads and their limits here, I am certainly seeing it now that we have our school devices up and running, from a central administration point of view, I would like to be able to lock off 95% of its configuration, but I can only lock off about 10% of the stuff that I would like to so its a battle to reset and reimage them when pupils fiddle around settings which can't be locked off.

It reflected badly on Conservatives last night I thought overall not being there, I understand the debate about being "bullied or pressurised" into appearing, though I think that was largely tactical to avoid it. Think its worse though that people don't realise at this stage that votes for certain parties potentially mean bringing the parties they don't want to power.

I am not a major fan of DC stuff, its too batman based for me and multiple reboots of the franchises are a bit depressing I think, their stuff became laughable a couple of times in the past. I hope its not like another Man of Steel which was good pretty much all the way through until the last 20 minutes where it went ridiculously awful.

I read that article and it made me laugh in fairness and a little glad I don't live in that area judging by the plans and the people, I don't get the whole "Must build a 20 room cavern beneath my house" movement, regarding the colour though, my mum and dad did a similar thing years ago in our old terraced house, on a street where everyone was dark grey/brown/red colours, my parents masonary painted the door and window frames an ultra bright yellow which stood out tremendously.

Your LEA may run courses also to show you the ropes with this procedure, as it can be quite involved, I know as I attended one last year for it

I wouldnt say your locked in that much outside of apps and most float over both platforms, I am apple based, yet have lots of credit on google apps for films and non-app related media and have no problem accessing them with the apps available there.

I bought two off eBay for my iPhone 4S, they were supposedly official, but weren't and were actually worse than my failing battery was, so I would say be cautionary about buying them, the cheaper end is full of bad batteries and "unofficial" parts it seems, my phone with one in was a little warmer than I wanted it to be when charging/using it so be careful, I reverted back to my original battery in the end. Websites like ifixit are more reputable to source them from I think than eBay. (I don't think Amazon is much different these days either)
