Having a few problems when testing Windows 7 on our Stone PCs. They have Realtek HD Audio on board sound but Windows 7 always reports that 'No speakers or headphones are plugged in'. Well, this is exactly right, there are no speakers or headphones plugged in, when I plug in some headphones everything works correctly, the message disappears and sounds outputs fine.
So having a browse of the net there are numerous reports that people are having the message appear, but regardless of whether they have speakers or headphones plugged in sound will not output. So I cannot see this being a driver issue? It appears to me that this is functionality and it wouldn't be a problem, however it does stop certain applications from running, such as movie maker.
Any ideas how to disable this 'feature', or any suggestions as I am stuck?
Thanks!
