I have looked around google and it seems more than doable , I just wanna edit it to include the server name this is ment to do it but where do i type in the server name RE: how to modify the TSWEB default.htm to do ... please help

I have just set up a terminal server and it is running great The only issue i have is that when a user gets to the terminal log in box it auto pick the local machine not the domain. Is there a policy to set this. also, whilst i am here, on a side point. When a user goes to http:\\ip address\tsweb and you get the default remote desktop screen asking for a server name, can i get it to auto show the name of our termial server. I have tried editing the html file but cant add text to the box. hope all that makes sense

I Have got my PS3 and PC connected via a Linksys BEFSR41. I cannot get either device to see each other. I am sure that i have set media sharing up on both devices and have disabled the windows (i have vista ultimate x64) firewall. I am convinced that it must be a prob with my router bot allowing things through but i can ping my PS3 from the PC. Please help, which ports do i forward and which devices IP address do i enter next to the port number. Desperate pleaes help

Really, is there not a setting on the server or in active directory so that it will only allow a username to log on once? That seems crazy:confused:

Hello all Is there a group policy that stops a domain user on a server 03 domain logging on with the same user name on more than one machine at the same time.

Every one needs to stop having a go at Capita. The fact are we all have to use microsoft and capita and by making relations between the two and their users worse only leads to us losing out. I suggest you keep your inflammatory remarks to yourself. Penfold_99 - why start a war when all we want is an answer, go to your room!

Mr_M_Cox replied to Mr_M_Cox's topic in How do you do....it?
no problems with rules and regs. i am a technician on the school support team and we have full control over what is and is not available through terminal services etc. ahuxham - thanks for the reply, hopefullt is is as easy as you make it sound but i have little networking knowledge, i mainly work on server/client OS management. but hey, i can give it a go. -
We are currently rolling out a Terminal Services to a number of our schools to allow for classroom/home SIMS access. How can i get the TS sessions to use network port 1 and internal network traffic to use port 2. Is this set in TS or connection manager (running on server 2003)

I would love to do that but the way our authority is set up means no exchange servers and all email based on a third party web based system!

Admins Nasty File Search question
Mr_M_Cox replied to Mr_M_Cox's topic in Network and Classroom Management
great stuff, cheers very much -
Is there a way in this bit of software to get it to tell you how many of each type of file it has found and also if there are any duplicates. If this is not possable in the ANFS software is there any other bits of free software that could do this.
