  1. I managed to get this to check in, by leaving again, deleting a few registry keys and scheduled tasks I then copied the enrollment task from another working device and ran that - about an hour later it shows as MDM managed
  2. We have autoenrollment enabled for our AD to auto join PCs to Azure for Intune - this works fine by and large but one specific W11 device is doing my head in It shows as Hybrid Joined and Enabled but always shows the MDM as none. Leaving and rejoining several times has made no difference. The dsregcmd status shows AzureADJoined as Yes, but the TenantName in tenant details is blank Short of reimaging this device (which would be a pain due to specific software packages, its a bit of a one off!) is there any way to reconnect this?
  3. Yes, we use Sophos and have those enabled, strange its just become an issue this month as we've had CM and Sophos for years However its prompted me to move updates over to Intune and I'm 60% of the way to moving all devices over there. I've had too many issues with CM and updates recently so maybe this will work better and I can just monitor it for the occasional failure!
  4. Its not the first time MS have sent out an update that fails, but I'm fed up of diagnosing CM issues every few months so WUfB is my next step!
  5. I guess this is forcing my hand down the intune route anyway - we're hybrid already so its the next logical step Just have to create a few groups for update rings and I can say goodbye to sccm and its flakey patch management!
  6. Weirdly I can still deploy applications, but any form of Windows Update, on any PC fails. Typical of SCCM to self destruct like this Looks like moving to Intune is the only way forward, MS obviously don't want us using SCCM anymore
  7. Anyone else used SCCM to deploy April 2026 updates? All of my test groups have failed (all working fine last month!) with the same errors: 0X80D02002 - Delivery Optimization: Download of a file saw no progress within the defined period. In the test clients DeltaDownload log there is a repeating error: HttpSendResponseEntityBody failed with error 5. Correlation vector:q1oHjpbrJE299Q14.9.0.0.6.1.1.3.23.1.4, Failed to send HTTP Response. Error=800704cd Correlation vector:q1oHjpbrJE299Q14.9.0.0.6.1.1.3.23.1.5, Sending Response status code:504 with reason = Gateway timeout All updates are deployed from the SCCM server so I'm not sure if the gateway timeout error is a false flag, and nothing has changed since everything worked perfectly last update run! Oddly the client CMBitsManager log seems to show a successful download but the file size is zero Total Files: 1, Transferred Files: 0, Total Bytes: 0, Transferred Bytes: 0 For CMBITS job {982E1041-76C1-4856-B1D2-0351DD2B6C5B}, CTM job {35297A02-9EEF-4292-BE7F-AFE657CC7002} entered phase CCM_DOWNLOADSTATUS_DOWNLOAD_SUCCESSFUL
  8. I argued with it and threatened it but it remains stubborn! Also the bios in it is kak for a 2025 laptop - no power options at all!
  9. It shuts down - but in the same way as before so not fully. Its very weird. Never seen this before
  10. It does the same, appears to shut down, but power light still on and fan still running. Beginning to think the m/b is faulty - although it works normally in every other sense
  11. Its got one of the Novo reset buttons, which seems useless to me as all it does it give you boot options or the option to boot into the BIOS, or enter Windows recovery!
  12. I've updated the bios and it hasn't changed. Its one of about 70 we bought all at the same time and so far the only one doing this. I tried nuking the bios by leaving the cmos disconnected overnight but that didn't seem to make any difference
  13. I did wonder about that - but it even does the same from the BIOS screen so Windows isn't even booted at that stage
  14. I've got a weird issue with a Lenovo laptop thats just out of warranty. It boots and runs Windows absolutely fine, no issues in normal use. The problem is when you power it down the screen goes black, but the power light stays on and the fans keep running. This happens no matter how you shut it down (via the menu, power button etc) - the only way to kill it is to hold the power button down. I thought maybe it was Windows not shutting down cleanly but it also does the same if you power off from the BIOS I've removed the cmos battery overnight which doesn't seem to have made any difference - I'm guessing it may be a motherboard fault but though I'd see if anyone had seen a similar problem? Its also had its BIOS updated but that also had no impact Its annoying as its a fully working laptop in every other sense, but keeps getting returned to us as they say it won't power on - because its stuck in the 'not quite powered off' state!
  15. I went back and forth on this with MS and their answer was basically that's the way it is, and the users have to change it themselves manually
  16. (shuffles into corner with dunces hat on) Ahem, turns out the macbook I'm using has a US keyboard so a 'shifted' character was being sent incorrectly as opposed to my UK windows keyboard (whistles nonchalantly whilst backing out of the room hoping no one will notice....)
  17. I've been trialling using a macbook to manage our Windows servers and remembering the old MS Remote Desktop days from a few years back I installed the newer Windows App version on my Tahoe macbook Problem is I can't rdp to anything - I get the login prompt - then enter valid credentials in the correct format (and I've tried all formats) - I get the certificate warning that I accept and it always returns the login box again with the message 'The credentials did not work' - 'the credentials used to connect to <server> (remote OC) did not work. Try again. The credentials are 100% correct. I've disabled the firewall on the macbook and made sure the Windows App is allowed to access the network in Security settings but I'm stumped now! The laptop is on the wireless network that is part of the domain so dns etc is all good Is this a bug or is it just me? I've done the same thing in my previous role but it was called Remote Apps/Desktop back then
  18. Yes, not much luck in getting reply either. Its nigh on impossible getting through their monolithic systems, which I guess is why they do it
  19. The chat seems useless, as it doesn't allow for any deviation from 5 options (billing, moving house etc) and there's no option to chat to an advisor. They have been a nightmare so cancelling is on the cards at renewal!
  20. Is there any actual way to speak to a human about fixing issues with BT CV? Their website is simply a runaround to make sure you don't contact them but we have a couple of things not working correctly and its probably just settings that need changing, but there appears to be no actual helpline or chat facility? The chat facility is simply geared for billing/change of address etc, not just a good old fashioned 'how do I..' type of query!
  21. About 50/50 with 24H2 and 25H2 here across 700 devices, not seen any issues so far
  22. We're trying to get google lens/camera search to work with iOS devices - connected to the wifi as a student account and passed to the smoothwall with the same student credentials The search part of the google app simply says 'can't reach the internet' when you try to search open the camera to search, or open the translate option Does anyone have a list of what needs to be allowed to get this working, as we don't allow Gmail etc for students I don't want to just start unblocking all sorts of subdomains!
  23. We're still seeing random issues with the Autumn 25 update - same end result 'one or more errors occurred' but a lot less than the summer 25 update
  24. Hmm interesting - my SCCM VM is currently VMWare but will be migrating to Hyper-V next year so worth checking this when I do the move
  25. Might have inadvertently fixed this 🙂 Rebooted again, rebuilt the PXE image again and now working. Maybe the new ADK wasn't loaded correctly into SCCM when I did the first rebuild
