Hi all, I have a MST that doesnt install Outlook for Office 2003 but i now have a need for it within school (Exchange) I have re-done the MST but would rather not have to remove Office from the OU and redploy it everywhere as all my child OUs rely on the parent OU for Office to be installed. I have tried overwriting the MST and uninstalling Office on 1 machine to see if the new MST is used, it isnt. Any ideas on the best way? Cheers

Yo, Upgraded myself to a quad so i've got a E8400 Intel CPU to get rid of. Its never been overclocked (dont beleive in it!) I have the packaging for it and i think i still have the stock cooler in the loft. There isnt anything that has come up on a daily basis really, or nothing that i've come across. although i've noticed that when you change anythong regarding Assessment, it wont show up in ePortal until the next day or until you restart the eportal services. Yes they can connect via their website (logmein i think it is) they give you a pin for this which you have to put into their website in order for them to connect, this is your "Permission" to access your system remotly

Their normal support procedure is: Cal them up, they ask you your name and school name and ask for a pin number that they generate for you. thats it

Ok folks, Question time! Im just setting up APC network shutdown for my APC UPS...all is going well but i've come across a problem. One of the servers has a MSA60 DAS attached to it which would also need to be shutdown gracefully in the event of a powercut (we had one at weekend and it wiped the array, luckily it was blank anyway) So my question is how would i set this to shutdown also? there is no OS that i can install the shutdown software to on DAS? I also have a MSA2000 SAN which is in the same situation as the DAS Any ideas? Cheers in advance

we've just changed to an academy and moved to serco from SIMS. first impressions is its pretty good, a little quirky but staff will get used to it. ONe thing i have noticed is within ePortal, when you open a register your RAM usages shoots up by about 300mb! or at least it does on my machines, which causes virtual memory issues on my older machines.

Hi guys, Not sure if this would be the right forum as the official OOZ support forum seems pretty dead these days. Ok i setup a fresh install if 1.8 on Ubuntu server. I setup mailgate to pull in from a pop account, i had a little trouble getting crontab to do this so i was testing it manually by opening the mailgate.php in a browser which worked no problem. Weird thing is the tickets are created but duplicated, which is obviously wrong. I have looked at other peoples posts regarding this but nothing has been conclusive in resolving it. any ideas guys? Yup seems i got a path wrong, all ok now except a few errors to do with sending out emails to the task supporters. Cheers for all the help guys. Mike

yes its disabled. i did it with /etc/init.d/ufw stop I can access the internet no problem. It just seems to be port 110. Very strange, pretty sure its authentication problem, will try switching that off tonight.

No i dont think its that, like i said Outlook on a Windows box can access the pop server no problem. The only difference is that windows has the Firewall client installed. Im going to try turning off authentication all together tomorrow and see if that helps.

I'm using 8.10 I believe. that makes sense, I have set a network proxy and applied it to all users via the GUI. I'm not sure how to retrieve a file via PHP, any pointers and I will test.

Hi folks, So im trying to setup OneorZero helpdesk to check a pop account for ticket creation. I have setup the system according to the documentation but when i run the mailgate.php file i get a connection timeout error. Problem is i dont think its a firewall issue. My XP clients can access the pop server (im behind a ISA Server by the way) i have created a rule that allows the fog server to not use authentication when accessing the internet, i have even set the ubuntu box to use the upstream proxy to be safe but it always times out. Am i missing anything? Mike
