Have you considered putting ubuntu or centos on the server then setting up xfs for immutable backups with veeam.

Figured this out, if set to store in active directory, by default the password is stored and encrypted to AD, but only domain admins can decrypt the password. Unless you set a specific SID or group in group policy with - Configure authorized password decryptors.

I am having an issue with Active directory delegated accounts being able to access the password. Domain admins work and I ran both delegated commands of Set-LapsADResetPasswordPermission and Set-LapsADReadPasswordPermission to give permission to the delegated group on the correct OU.

In Monitoring > Software Update point Synchronisation status what is the last Sync error code? (if working should be 0x000000) Any errors showing in System Status > Site Status > Software update point? Have you looked in logs files such as WSyncMgr.log?

That’s the provider I have used before. When talking to them we worked out I couldn’t help my technician provide enough evidence to cover the course requirements. How much networking do you do in your role?

Hi, I am currently looking for a apprenticeship provider who offers a level 4 qualification that isn’t specialised on networking or cybersecurity. Basically more of a IT generalist course. A couple of years ago our previous provider did offer a course like this. Which my last techie did, but no where seems to offer this now. I have looked at the networking course for my current techie, but I can’t provide the onsite requirements for the course as he wouldn’t be setting up switches every day. Jon

In that case there must be a way to setup dns forwarders to point to your smoothwall from the core switch.

The smoothwall should be able to do that, we have our S9 providing dhcp and dns for our guest wi-fi network. How are you going to handle ip addressing?
