Wakey Wakey Chaps.... Good Old Google Came up with Actual Installer It was so simple to create an installer utility called Setup.exe with the program I wrote bundled with the OCX file.....
-
I tried putting the exe and ocx in one folder but it failed and the ocx needed to be registered first I would like a utility that does all that in one go during installation
-
Any ideas chaps ?

Thanks I wouldn't know where to start !

OK 2nd option it is then However, it would be nice to include the exe and this other stuff in one simple install utility to keep it simple for people to install it on various machines Thanks

Yep - it is a simple Biorhythm program but I would like others to be able to use it on their machines I have subsequently found it needs MSCOMCT2.OCX to be included as it won't run Also, the installation of the program needs windows to register MSCOMCT2.OCX in the process ??

I created a simple exe program which I can use on my computer (maybe because I have visual basic 6.0) But on other machines it asks for a few files to be sourced (not sure if it was .ocx files ??) Is there a routine that can make this exe file run on different windows machines ? Thanks

Sadly the ram is soldered onto the board so cannot be tested

Yeah, I saw this but can't work out how many beeps ?? Fan doesn't come on either ??
-
Can't determine what these beeps mean https://vimeo.com/180330051 No display, no fan - lights flash Any ideas ? Thanks

Yep Just to confirm - I bought a similar 90W power supply with a metal earthing pin (UK) and I have no problem Hope this helps someone
-
Just tested the small one and there is no metal in the 3rd earth pin - so no connection between house earth and laptop The larger one has a metal earth pin - so there is the link.....
-
Ah Is there any way to counteract this ?

I have a Dell 17" 1720 Laptop Every few seconds there is a delay when using the Touchpad, then it will work for a few seconds etc USB mouse is fine Here's the weird thing - problem goes away when running on battery The charger that is rated at 6 AMPS works ok - no problems with Touchpad The smaller one (although advertised as working with the 1720) is what causes the problem - it is rated at 19.5 V 4.62 A = 90 W The larger one is same voltage - 6.2 A and 130 W No other issues other than the intermittent touchpad.... Any ideas ?

I find pages that help to "Shut Down" a computer at a special time using Task Sheduler, but difficult to find a routine that makes it "Sleep" Thanks

Yeah - Command+Option(ALT)+R got me into downloading stuff. It froze on typing a password for the WiFi on more than one occasion, so I chose a signal with no password and it succeeded. How bizarre Cheers

Very useful Will this USB be able to fix potential errors on the hard drive, or is it just for reinstallation of the OS ? And, which buttons do you press on boot to make it boot to USB !?
-
If I can't find it, can it be downloaded ? Thanks
