I've heard schools can get free SSL certificates from a few places. Can anyone reccomend where to get a free or low priced one from? The certificate will be used for the SSL Login Authentication page on smoothwall for the Public Wifi Also can you still get them free if the school is going to be an Academy?

Hi Dont know a great deal about sql. Have a new server running server 2008 R2 with Microsoft sql 2008 R2 installed. The server has two hard drives which appear as C: and D: in Windows. I want all the databases to be stored on D:, so they are away from the system OS + the D: drive is large in size which I think will be helpful as the databases grow. So my question is. How do I configure sql so the databases are stored on the D: drive? Thanks.

Is it possible to export admin numbers from sims and directly in the users AD account? I know I can run a report within sims to get this data and then use a csv file to import the data into active directory. I was hoping of a scheduled/automated way which didnt rely on any user input. Anyone got any idea's?

I'm getting this event logged on a new domain Event ID 2887 I was thinking of following the instructions on the link above to reject simple LDAP binds, but before I did this I am a bit concerned if it will effect anything? Will user accounts perform as normal ? just make it more secure? Or will I need to configure additional settings on user accounts and devices to make them connect in aecure way? Any advice appreciated:) Don't want to bugger anything up !

Haha yeah when you first reach act 2 inferno it's a right pain! I'm act 3 inferno now and can solo most of it apart from some annoying elite packs ( Solo play is so much easier than being in a party - which sucks because it forces you to play alone ) What class do you play? Blizzard nerfed gold drop from urns etc as well, at least the most popular spot in the royal crypts has been heavily nerfed ( down from 10-15k gold per minute to 2k..) I would say your best off farming the last quest in Act1. The one with the warden and the butcher. Make sure you have 5 valor stacks before the warden and you can get some 'okish' drops. Or depending on your gear, and if your happy to abuse a bug you can skip the whole of act 2 and farm the seigebreaker quest in Act 3.

We use it and left as the default config - have no problems with spam and junk mail.

That price is better. Only need 8 ports so wont require an additional license. It's a HP San that we have already. Not sure of the model without looking though. will get @Millgate to give me a good price ! ( I hope )

Hi, Looking at getting a fiber switch for a SAN. It only needs 6 ports on the switch. It's a HP SAN and HP servers connecting to it. I've looked at the HP SAN switches on the HP website, however they seem to be very expensive. ( £2000 - £3000 ) Anyone have recommendations on what’s good/bad? What you use

I've registered for a supportNet account and will take a look at the documentation provided there once I've been accepted. matt40k, Yeah I was hoping to have the databases on a dedicated box separate to sims server. Is there any negatives to this? I thought it was something most people would do...but maybe I'm wrong.

Hello, Does anyone have any experience and can share their knowledge on migrating a Sims.Net and FMS server to a new domain. Or is anyone aware of some documentation that's available? As well as this I would like to move the SQL database from SQL 2008 that's currently sitting on the sims server and move it to SQL Server 2008 R2 that's installed on a dedicated SQL server. It cant connect if I try to open a telnet connection with. Not sure what settings are used in outlook. It's setup so outlook auto discovers the settings, so I've never actually looked what settings outlook uses because I've never needed them! I will take a look.

There is no TLS box. Here's what I can see I'm entering the SMTP server settings that it gives me in my live@edu account Server name: pod51015.outlook.com Port: 587 Encryption method: TLS

In the SMTP settings on WSUS there is a section for SMTP login server authentication where you can enter a login and password. Is this what you mean? I tried entering my email and and password which is an admin in live@edu but it still didnt work. This is the error I get if it helps any.
