TBH I have no idea if this is any use, I just remember seeing a few screencasts on iis7 and php ON Technet Edge.... Getting PHP to perform on IIS7 | Media | TechNet Edge Installing PHP Applications on IIS7

Regex can be a bit of beast to get right, an example of rocksolid Reg EX extension blocking on the Cachepilot would be this... /.*\.exe$ i'm off now but if you want any further examples just ask

I use the Error URL feature of our Cachepilot to redirect blocked pages to an IIS box where I 'do stuff' Anyway, kids are back and I have noticed that I’m getting no re-directs. hmmm I fire up the Cachepilot and notice it's been updated to Release: 3.2.9 (upgraded), so I check my error URL and all looks fine, I take the URL out and put it back in but its not redirecting to my IIS box at all. What’s worse is that if I take out the URL redirect and leave the standard Cachepilot error page in place it is absolutely horrid, it shows them their IP address and annoyingly has a link back to the Cachepilot limited admin screen where they can play with the Test url-filtering screen – find out what policy is blocking them such as a time restriction etc. Ok I thought I will redirect them back to our intranet on our local Lan, intranet.school.local WORST PART OF THE BUG But the worst bit is if I put a REAL or LOCAL URL in there such as intranet.school.local it appears to break the filtering altogether and NOTHING is filtered... So it’s unfettered access to the internet... SHOCK !! AND NOW THE PAIN BEGINS I started ringing ICT Solutions before 8:30, sent an email for someone to ring me ASAP regarding the Cachepilot. Nothing! I finally got someone by phone at 10am after holding for god knows how long, just to be told that someone will have to call me back. As usual no one has. < FFS> ICT Solutions FFS!!! If a company is not able to answer the phone for hours and are as SLOW to respond as you always are (except for basics like email password resets) (years of dealing with them) you should not be allowed to operate in this sector IMHO. it's an utter peice of tosh, and terrible support. For a start the 'Network' version saves files recorded by the mic to the local c: drive. Now thats what i call forward thinking, pupils will always use the same computer! Right?

The option to backup to tape has been removed as well

VMWare ESXi released for free today.
ChrisP replied to pete's topic in Thin Client and Virtual Machines
Here's a link to a list of white boxes that will run ESXi - ESX 3.5 and 3i White boxes and working SATA controllers It may be that you have something around the office that could run this so you could do a test install and give the conversion process a test. -

Mine is a little unconventional.. no raid for OS drive bfs1=backup-fileserver1 bfs2=backup-fileserver2 bfs3=backup-fileserver3 LEVEL1 For ghost type recovery I try not to have the main OS on a raid array, just a simple sata will do. every term I ghost all servers OS HDs everynight I have every server automate a System state backup to bfs1 everynight most servers have a local dat72 that back up sys state and cherrypicked files everynight fileservers etc. backup non OS HD's (raid array) to bfs1 all servers shadow copy set to twice a day. LEVEL2 shadow copy on bfs1 set to everyday so now bfs1 has a local copy of everythig. SYSstates, apps, profiles etc. bfs1 has a 800gig LTO3 that backs up everything everynight. ( GF,F,S ) LEVEL3 bfs2 is old PC's with a few 500gig drives in it running basic raid 0 to give prenty of storage. bfs2 backs up bfs1 everynight and shadowcopy is set to 2days LEVEL4 bfs3 is old PC's with a few 500gig drives in it running basic raid 0 to give prenty of storage. bfs3 backs up bfs2 everynight and shadowcopy is set to 1 week LEVEL5 VMs and select files from bfs3 are backed up every term to a couple of external 500gig drives

I use scripts for this. Robocopy will copy the NTFS permissions but it wont re-create the shares on the target server, also the users home directory will need changing in AD.

Can someone explain to me what the 'Latency information' portion of the DCDIAG log means please. OK the nightmare is real why it was'nt working was because you must have the myODBC driver on all clients OH NO!! (yes I know i could use group policy) So i've changed the script to use (Microsoft.XMLHTTP) to do a silent post to a form on a webserver that has myODBC and a DSN connection to the database talk about a pain in the A.

Hi guys having a little trouble connecting to a database i have moved from access to mySQL. When a user logs on I want to add an entry to the database via a vbs executed on the client PC. I used to do this with VBS & Access no problems but i'm scratching my head with VBS & mySQL. So.. how would i open a connection to the "logons" table in the following example? The myODBC name is "MYTEST" and the database is called "LOGONTEST" and they live on a server called "DBSVR1"

If you track your users logons to a database then you may find this script of some use as well as an exaple of messy coding to give you a chuckle. We have three domains here and this is my solution to quickly VNC into a user to support them without having to track down what PC they are logged into. You will need to make some small ammendments to suit your environment but it should be easy enough to understand. Set WshShell = Wscript.CreateObject("WScript.Shell") SQLstring = "SELECT * FROM [logons]" FilterUser = InputBox("Logon name ?", "", "") if FilterUser <> "" then SQLstring = SQLstring & " where [user] LIKE '"&FilterUser&"'" SQLstring = SQLstring & " ORDER BY [id] Desc" Set oDB = CreateObject("ADODB.Connection") '~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ oDB.Open "Driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)};DBQ=\\99.99.99.99\logging$\database\logon_watch.mdb" '~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Set oRS = oDB.Execute(SQLstring) '~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ if oRS.EOF then Wscript.echo(vbcrlf &vbcrlf &"Nothing found in the database"&vbcrlf &vbcrlf &"Sorry !!"&vbcrlf &vbcrlf ) Wscript.quit end if '~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ oUSR = (oRS.Fields.Item("user").Value) oPC = (oRS.Fields.Item("pc").Value) oDATE = split((oRS.Fields.Item("serverdate").Value),"/") Set oDB = Nothing todayDate = split(date(),"/") '~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ if (todayDate(0) = oDate(0)) and (todayDate(1) = oDate(1)) or (todayDate(0) = oDate(1)) and (todayDate(1) = oDate(0)) then WshShell.Run ("z:\!!-exe\vnc.exe " &oPC&":5252") else Wscript.echo(oPC & "-not logged on today") end if

Is this part of the kids logon? I'm sure you need to be an administrator to write to [HKLM]
