Yesterday i gave one of our students a box from a smart board-- and they didnt let it go all day-- painted a beautiful christmas tree tho!

ohhhh your going to have fun, we moved from cc3 to cc4 last october and that was a nightmare in itself-2 new servers, 40 new machines and 130 to rebuild to cc4, 2 days of support services time and me doing the rest! we are a new build (kinda!) too and finding little things like- where the servers are have no aircon- the purpose built server room has no plug sockets (dont ask on that one!) and is now used as a storeroom, was a pain in the proverbial.

And now............ I spent all day yesterday getting quotes for non rm machines!!!!! Head-way People!

RM are a bit slow on the uptake here, but our LEA guys, leave me work notes saying what they have done, if not, smile sweetly, act dumb, and they tell all!

We have a contract with our local Tech Services Team that covers all our hardware and stuff with plugs, they even fix rm stuff-- costs less than you would think. They take away fix, bring back, tell us what the fault was, then i have a go at said teacher!!

I have 2 months to get over my fear of downwards escalators. OK so i did go to the RM technical seminars, and some share point training, but apart from that all i do is paperwork!! I need days out seeing equipment, not looking at it on web! Also get to use my food card thingy! always good!! although training is classed as work- so work, home, and tesco's is about al i go to.

It means i can get out of my little hole, and actually see some equipment instead of default buying from RM. Can you tell i never get to go anywhere???
