Been given this to be used as a banner for the IT departments VLE, I tried vector magic and also tried to re-design the whole thing myself but with no luck! Any of you guys able to have a play? Appreciated!

Thanks Ste, we did do it the way of creating an alias and it worked fine, however after we logged off and back on these desktop shortcuts had gone? We currently only having 5 iMacs in the staff room so no real need for a MacMini Server, plus the fact were going to be a full end user Apple School but with all windows Servers so would be great to learn now for when the new school is finished (6Months time) Thanks again!

Sounds good, how is this done?

Is there a simple way of sticking a shortcut to a Windows share onto the desktop? We have a students and teachers common drive that the teachers will need access to whilst on the iMacs (Running 1.6) we have mananged to connect to a share but not found a way of creating a shortcut to that share. We did get one way that shows the connected servers on the desktop but obviously after a reboot or log-off these were not there again? Any ideas or free software to do this so ALL users will see these on logon? We have hooked them up with AD fine so that's not an issue and it picks up there home folders fine also. Hi Ryan, I left school at the young age of 15 and started a 2 year apprenticeship, when I turned 16 (just before my 17th birthday) I applied for a full time position at a local school, the best advice is what has already been said really, just be yourself, be confident in the things you know, at the end of an interview they will ask if you have any questions, never say now, always think of 2-3 and show interest in these. Think for them whilst on a tour of the school etc. it's a nervous time being so young trust me, they will be older then you too probably but think the fact your shortlisted means they are not bothered by your age and they are already considering you at the post. Be the best you can be, keep calm, keep smiling. I got the job btw and been here working my way up for the past 4 years so it does happen at such a young age. Be well prepared and just try your best to enjoy the experience, if you don't get the job so what at least you know what to expect for future interviews Simon

We've got a Sanyo XW200 that's just gone down, you turn it on and after less then 10 seconds it just shuts itself down, replaced the lamp to no effect, doing research in the thermal heat switch, opened it up but can't see anything that resembles a switch there. Any other ideas? Thanks!

Mate of mine is messing about with DJ'ing and stuff and he wants like a logo/typeface on the wall in his ''studio'' but something unique to him? Just want;s it text based I think and it needs to be SVM Staat Van Mening Just like that but fancy? Maybe some flar light a light? Maybe sone vinly in the G? Not sure does any fancy a bash at knocking a few up :S Cheeky I know but this is probably the best place to come!

Just thought it's only an A/G AP so has no N'th network! Surely the iPhone should still have a and g capabilities!

Might look into that, then both will run at the same time correct? Will see if they support it, not sure I have spotted anything like that before though.

As in on the actual device? There's no way of changing it on iOS devices? Just finds a network and joins it, you cant actually tell it to transmit N network only for example. Well not to my knowledge anyway!

All software is up to date on all AP's and we have tried with 0 security at all and still the same? My iPhone connected once but didn't get an IP and then disconnected straight away again? Very strange so I'm thinking it's down to (well guessing) the AP's work on 5GHz band and the Apple Products don't?

Having a problem getting iPads or iPhones to connect to our WiFi in the school, we have our usual WEP filtering on and Mac address filtering, I have added the Mac's and that's fine but they just refuse to connect? My phone (iPhone 4) doesn't connect either, no idea why? We have 30 iPads so frustrating not getting them to connect, the AP's I'm trying on are Cisco Air 1131's off the top of my head - I'm sure there must be some configuration on them as we have a temp building with 2 Meru AP's and the Controller in our main switch cabinet and they connect within seconds to them? Any help would be appreciated. Simon

We are having sponsorship for some sports kit by a local restaurant and we need to send the logo away for embroidery but it has to be Hi-Res, the company doesn't have a Hi-Res version and I have had fun on photoshop for hours trying to crack it but just can't do so! I had an interview for this job months ago, got cancelled the day before and told we would hear what's going on soon. To this day still not heard anything and now it's been re-advertised!!

been asked to design a programme page (a4 landscape to become a front and back cover) for the 1st team programmes, I need to add the logo on it but it's crap quality, I have an hour to design them haha I'm not expecting someone to do it in an hour but if the could that would be great!!
