  1. @VeryPC - Thanks Al !! Will decide on options and will post back or pm you back ( or both ) within the next few days once I can confirm my choices / options
  2. The above image says it all !!
  3. Congrats Caz !!
  4. I love a king prawn curry from the chinese with a few beers , goes down a treat
  5. Was worth an ask / try - no worries will just resort to purchasing an item a month or something to that effect so may be a number of months before I have all the stuff I need to get it built etc
  6. Trying to collate two lists One with the cheapest stuff so that £40 case you pointed me to, an 8gb ram kit , using the stock heat sink and fan , either a 1tb SSHD 3.5 by seagate or a 1Tb WD Black and for now use that as the boot drive etc A 2nd list with parts I ideally want to get so i4770K i7 cpu, 16gb ram, the 750D Case or similar, the H100i cooler , one 240gb SSD and two either 1 or 2 tb hard drives to put into RAID 1 config Still putting that list together in terms of price of each part and total cost overall - will most likely have to get a part or two at a time ( each month ), don't want to spend the money now and then only come to have to spend more money to upgrade it a bit later on so may as well just take longer to get the parts and order what I actually want so may take a couple of months to get the CPU, a month to get the H100i cooler, another month to get the RAM etc ( not literally in that order but you get the gist ) One last question that I can think of - the corsair obsidian 750D in comparison to the 650D Is the 650D = Air Cooling and The 750D = Water Cooling Or can you use both for either - just looking at the 750D as got better reviews ( If I recall correctly ) so was hoping I could use the 750D for both water or air cooling ( was thinking I could use stock heatsink + fan to start with and get the H100i later on That was my thoughts anyway
  7. @seawolf or anyone ref a screen, if i have to get a smaller monitor to ensure I get a good quality one then so be it but need suggestions
  8. @Arthur - Is there a better screen that is IPS, has dvi and hdmi and maybe display port as well ?? An asus one like or similar to one of these Amazon US Site ( UK site has a few variants and not sure which one on the uk site is the correct one ) http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B005BZNDS0/ref=mw_dp_mdsc?dsc=1 Maybe this one Asus MX239H 23-inch Widescreen AH-IPS LED Multimedia Monitor http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00A4K9KVG/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_YP.Jtb08CW2XK Just found this LG : http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00BJHBUW0/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1401945724&sr=8-1 Looks like I will have to spend a bit on a monitor to get a reasonable IPS ?? Maybe consider buying a 32" hd tv ??
  9. Hows about this one : Iiyama ProLite XU2390HS 23 inch LED IPS Monitor - Full HD, 5ms - XU2390HS-B1 - CCL Computers Was hoping for a 24" IPS screen with a 2ms response time etc for gaming and other things Any help here ref the monitor / screen would be great
  10. @Arthur or anyone - I have not built a PC in years so everything seems to have changed a lot in terms of screen technology etc Could do with suggestions on what screen to get, am looking at 24" as they seem to be a reasonable price on scan or else where ( between £100 and £150 )
  11. Same here - I have not been contacted or been given the options yet
  12. This - chinese ( with all the different dishes they do ) I love the massive pancake / spring rolls ( whatever they are called ) , half a duck with pancakes + housin sauce and all the other dishes, esp king prawn curry and what was mentioned above with a few good drinks and then some lovely ice cream ie ben n jerrys or hagan daaz etc
  13. Now I just need help with which screen to get - Solid or Hard Drives I can sort out myself Don't want to go above £150 for the screen ( If I can help it ) , on scan I can see there is an Asus and some iiyama's for a reasonable price ( around the £140 mark ) but again am not sure which one to choose Thank-you Everyone !!!
  14. Just wondering - did you manage to find anything yet or you still gotta have a dig around ?
  15. What would your suggestions be if I went for an 8gb kit ( 2 * 4gb ) or a 16gb kit so ( 2 * 8gb )
  16. Why do you say that ? Link to the motherboard on dabs ( Asus Z97 Sabertooth Mark 1 which I have won ) Asus Z97 Sabertooth Motherboards - dabs.com Shows as supporting 1866 DDR3 etc etc - as per the bottom of the below image
  17. Thanks Carl - I got an email and was like nah , someone's winding me up etc, then saw the post by kitguru on there site and gotten 2 out of the 3 parts yesterday so got the GPU and power supply
  18. Need a seperate screen - being told by the better half I cant use the telly lol Any chance you could put a list of links to the relevant items together in one post ( which out of those 2 links is the better one ) as would prefer to purchase the faster / better RAM and get the CPU you linked to , One hard drive for the time being to use for booting and data storage etc so will no doubt need to be a 1tb WD Black or something similar Again can always upgrade parts later on when I have more money etc so CPU / RAM / Hard drives or SSD's etc etc including the H100i can all be gotten later on. Thanks @Arthur / @nephilim and everyone else Also if Carl manages to dig out anything I could have / use etc that would be great Also on the RAM what CL do I need / can I use etc as see there is CL9 / CL10 etc etc Ref the screen am sure iiyama do 24" screens for not too much money but then am not sure on which screens are good or not etc etc @ICTDirect_Dave has been in contact with myself ref a keyboard / mouse and a Kingston SSD - have PM'ed him to ask how much for these so may well get these for the time being ( depending on cost and how long he wants to keep them for ) ??
  19. Now just for same ram , a hdd and an optical drive and a screen ( although for now can use my telly aka hd tv ) Can get a better cpu etc etc later on
