Hi, thanks very much for your responses, given me a few things to think about. The diagrams show a SCM (Streaming Content Manager), extron shows this as 'retired'. Forgive my ignorance, but what would I use to then stream it on my network?
-
Hi, Not done anything more complex than a webcam into a pc / laptop before so this looks interesting. Is this extron box able to 'mix' the audio and video from different sources?

Covered up the front IR sensor today, and tested it. It works! The IR from the smartboard must be flooding the front sensor so much that it knocks out the signal from the remote control. Some black insulation tape has done the trick!

I haven't tried it yet, but I had a vender ask a few questions and the answer came back to try what you've suggested. Going to try it tomorrow and will post the results.

Thanks Big-Ed for the quick reply, I suspected as much, but cannot find any information on infrared frequency or ability to possibly change it either on the board or with the Casio projector. Our Hitachi ultra short throws we have bundled with 880's in a couple of other rooms don't seem to suffer from this problem, so are either radio remotes or operate on a different frequency.

Hello all ! We recently had a few smartboard 880 installed in some of our classrooms where we already had relatively new Casio XJ-M140 projectors. However, we have noticed that when the IWB is turned on the remote for the projector stops functioning. Very strange! Turn the board off and the remote works fine. Anybody got any ideas? All positive comments gratefully received.

Wayhey! Congratulations there buddy, brilliant news indeed! Is that why you're so bleary eyed driving in the opposite direction to work, not even seeing me to wave hello?

Ours have been off for 2 weeks already! Leaving me in peace to do a major XP to 7 upgrade on our language lab pcs and install an up to date version, v10.2. Just finished! Woohoo!

Sorry for late posting but an opportunity has come up for an IT Network Engineer, working at Stockport Grammar School. The successful applicant would be working for a brilliant team and a great school with some great, motivated students. Closing date for applicants has been extended from 8th July to the 22nd. Search teaching jobs and apply for roles | Stockport Grammar School P.S. Lunches during term time are part of the package, and they are not your standard school meal......

I realise this is a long time after the last posts.... but it may help others later...... I have had this problem on a Stone laptop as well, but after some trial and error changes to the BIOS (Phoenix SecureCore) I found that under Advanced --- there is an option for Installed O/S, here I chose Vista / Win 7, but made sure I then changed the SATA Mode Selection to AHCI from IDE. I have now progressed to a Windows setup screen, wich is a heck of a lot further than I have got before. (TIP: If installing a XP image remember to switch SATA Mode Selection to back to IDE from AHCI or you will get a BSOD.

I am looking for some views on printers. Location: Admin Office Requirements: 1) Quiet 2) Colour 3) Speed quiet is the most important factor here, the printer sits in between the 2 secretaries and if it is doing a long print run, can be very noisy especially when they are on the phones. I did suggest that maybe the printer could be moved, but that was poo - poo'ed because that would require movement off the chair. Can anybody recommend either a quiet printer, or maybe even recommend a printer stockist who would be willing to advise us. Thanks in advance.....

Thank you for this thread! We have a remote with a Help button and pressing this for 10 seconds did the trick!!

I followed your instruction above, but it doesn't work for me. After I have sysprep'ed and imaged across to another machine, it has reverted to the same old 'Your trial period has now ended' message on the new machine. Help!
-
I have applied this fix, however it doesn't work across onto other machines once I have re-imaged them. It looks like the fix then needs to be applied individually anyway. I have 400 PC's and don't fancy having to go through them all again to re-apply the fix. Any ideas gratefully received.....
