We have an XP user environment, I'm permitting a selection of users to connect to a server via RDP (I won't go into the reasoning). Upon logging on via RDP to this windows 2008 R2 server, users get "The Recycle Bin on U:\Favorites is corrupted. Do you want to empty the Recycle Bin for this drive?" with "yes" & "no" command buttons. The U Drive is their user drive (\\SERVER\OFFICE$\USERNAME, favorites are redirected to here. I'm guessing this is a folder redirection issue - just wondered if anyone is able to clarify / inform me what the precise issue is? Thanks for your support, Andy

Just wondering the impact of changing our domain name (currently a .sch.uk). We run MS Exchange 2007. If we were to register a new domain (or speak with nominet), I'm guessing MS Exchange could still run under the old domain name & just forward mail to the new domain. Could this be hosted on the same server or would it require a different server? Open to thoughts & suggestions! Andy P.S. Also after a domain registrar who can handle .sch.uk domains where I'm able to control the DNS online?

I failed on the freebie front, but as it was my first visit to BETT with only a single day to attack things... I spoke to lots of companies most I'll be getting quotes from and possibly looking to buy from (including Smoothwall)!

very interesting to know that about the SIMS partnership schools! I'll have a savage around and see if I can find our nearest! Thank you.

Thanks for pointing that out Sivadam, unsure why SIMs found the liberty to assume registration times for AM & PM registration - doesn't seem a very clear set up routine (that and without any formal SIMs training it was a struggle)! Anyway resolved now and thank you for your festive support, must try and get on some formal SIMs training sessions to improve my knowledge!

the "copy lesson marks to session" for AM & PM option resolved these "none existent" registration periods from appearing on teacher time lines!

in the lesson monitor setup it forces you to define AM & PM registration periods....these marks are taken from within teaching lessons and no AM / PM registrations actually exist - when AM and PM are defined as P1 and P4 in lesson monitor setup - additional AM / PM registration sessions are placed in the teacher time lines!?

We've just upgraded to lesson monitor, we have a 5 period college day with a single tutorial period. p1 (am mark) p2 break p3 tutorial P4 (pm mark) P5 In lesson monitor setup, it won't allow us to continue without placing A / P in the relevant periods for each day, but when I put A in P1 and P in P4 it places an additional registration period at the beginning of the day - we register during p1 as an academic class. Is anyone able to point me in the right direction for this setup? Thanks, Andy
