HI Due to our HP P3005's dying we're looking to buy a cheap refurb HP 2420 or similar for hopefully less than £100 (as new comp toner will be another £40-£50ish) until we get our managed print solution sorted. Does anyone know any companies which do these? (not ebay) So far I've found Chiltern IT - HP 2420n for £103.95p and ICT-Direct thanks

As with our problem, I can't help but think it is a problem with groupcall and SIMS. Ok we had a few revisions to do in SIMS first - ie remove any students that did not arrive and give end dates to some people that had left, but apart from that all data was upto date and the previous version of mls.connect works fine. The latest version of groupcall/mls.connect still errors and seems to have a problem with some sort of address line from SIMS.

Now resolved - sort of - mls have sent through another lic key for the previous version of mls connect which has worked first time.

Hi Trying to get this to work - downloaded and installed the latest version of mls connect, sims is up to date, try to run the report to get data from sims, everything is fine until an error message appears and the report fails. Looked on mls.net knowledge base and it refers to a fix which is to download and use the latest version of mls connect. Error in report is - Error: oject reference not set to an instance of an object Exception: system.NullReferenceException: object not set to an instance of an object. at groupcall.Xporter.MlsImporter.AddressType.GetAddressLines(AddressTypeAddress. Int32 numberOflines) Tried running mls connect with no addresses imported and all other variations and have tried to call mls but after 30mins in a queue being told the length of queing time is now 1 minute is a bit annoying and expensive. Anyone else had any problems running this import thanks.

Use clickview here and clickview 247 to record 6 freeview channels. Any dvds that do not have a copyright warning on them (or that say you can copy them) can be uploaded onto the clickview video server. You can extract videos from clickview - exported as AVI. Any dvds that have copyright warnings - I email the company to get permission to copy them to the clickview video server only not clickview exchange. Sometimes they agree and do not require payment, other companies eg-classroom video require half the cost of the video or dvd per video/dvd you wish to host, as they cost about £60 a pop we don't bother and staff have to use the physical dvd to view it. As for feature films, bbc documentary box sets, discovery channel box sets then what is written on the box still applies - it's against copyright law to copy them or break the copy protection.

Update - Found out that sticky keys had been enabled with all the tick boxes checked, unchecked all these and disabled sticky keys - now working.

From their Ebay shop - HP 1320 - £10.85p + Free p&p - why then do I pay from their website - Great value toner cartridges for HP Laserjet 1320 at IJT Direct Ltd - £16.96p plus £6 delivery charge? Even worse is their HP 2420 hi-cap toner - £21.96p + Free p&p from Ebay shop - Normal website - £50.95p plus £6 delivery! Well I don't anymore.

Turned out to be the power adaptor for the board, changed it and now all is fine.

Epson are doing a extended 5 year warranty - on selected models - fax serial number and invoice to them. Free 5 year on-site education projector warranty However quite sure it does not include the lamp although not read the fine print myself.

hi We have a set of speakers with input from the pc with built in amp on one speaker feeding the other - they work fine. One speaker mounted to the wall top left and right of Starboard. Upon turning on the Starboard they now just let out a high pitch whine - I wiggled and jiggled the power adaptor where it goes into the to the Starboard and this seems to be the problem. Not had this in any other classroom though and physically it all looks ok, ie not broken and power adaptor is also ok, tried moving the speaker lead and power adaptor leads away from each other but still the same. Could be a summer job. Odd

Cyberlink PowerDirector 8 or 9 does a very good job editing and adding effects/titles. You can lighten and stabilize footage, speed it up etc etc plus export it to lots of formats or burn to dvd - you can also create your own dvd menus using film footage, stills, music etc...

hi we run some standalone xp prof pc's. On one of them it allows you to login fine (keyboard-all keys work) but after that the keyboard fails to work and pc just makes a quiet errrrrrr sound when you press a key. Tried ps2 & usb keyboard but still exists. Any know of any control panel thing that could have been changed? thanks
