  1. ^ This We have only just migrated to Sims (went live September) and are using School ICTs. I'm already finding that anything other than "where do I find" is taking 2-3 days to respond and they are just replying with a copy & pasted KB excerpt directly taken from Capita. One occasion the lady on the phone actually said "I will have to check Capita's Knowledge Base, and get back to you" I'm finding solutions quicker myself online.
  2. I had this same issue and was advised to replace the tempSimsRpt Folder (and contents) with a clean version. This worked for me.
  3. We are currently having major issues with these two sites. The user will only see a blank white page - regardless whether they are using Chrome or IE. Both browsers are up to date, can confirm Smoothwall is not blocking any pages (as both these sites were working fine before last week and no changes have been made to the config) The spanner: If we right click and run chrome as an admin all is fine. Things we have tried: As per Pearsons support page, I have white listed the specified domains, added to trusted sites and enabled pop ups. Reset chrome to default Added both sites to compatibility mode (then removed because ShowMyHomework kicks up an error) Reset profiles & used new user. But still experiencing the issue. Any ideas, or is anyone else experiencing the same.
  4. Thanks Russ... As ours is a LEA wide install, I have a feeling that there will be several sessions where a chosen rep will be taken from each school to attend, basically going through the initial setup, i.e customizing the look and setting up basic account access... I will update this thread as and when these sessions happen. Thanks again.
  5. Thanks for the replies guys, sorry I aint had chance to get back sooner but been - you guest it too busy! We had a presentation today, basically showing us what it can and will be able to do in the "very near future"... Staff were very dubious about it, but I personally think if it is used properly it could be very effective and efficient for the staff... They have promised us that extensive training is available, I was just trying to get an head start so when the training does eventually come I'll have an exposure to it. Agreed about it being managed by a senior teaching staff member, but the guidelines we were given also point out that a member of the ICT support team should also take a lead role in the implementation... Anyway I'm gonna jump in and see what comes of it... I'll update you on my progress, and thanks patboland I'll definitely be giving you a shout very soon lol
  6. Hi Everyone... Our School has just had Kaleidos installed via our LEA... I've absolutely no experience or had any exposure to VLE's before, We have training dates coming in the near future but I would appreciate it if anyone could give me some info/literature on this system. Thanks in advance...
