we've got a 2tb disk for the storage - we'd prefer the local storage so resources are always available! google groups has a dedicated resourcespace section which is really good! they also use BITNAMI which is a simple installer ... (And easy to uninstall if you don't like it)

+1 for resourcespace - excellent addition to our services!

Hi - anyone got advice on how to do this?.. I've created a reference VM machine - set it up as desired, created a autounattend.xml file and sysprepped using this... but all it does is take my previously customised settings and replaces them with Windows Store... I've set the copyprofile to true but it doesn't seem to honour this. any tips? Jordy

Hi - we have an original DVD (Of Mice & Men) which plays fine in Windows Media Player, (so its not firmware / driver related) but trying to play it through our school standard MPC-BE refused to play due to a copy protection error. The region code is set correctly (region 2- UK) which is what the disk claims it needs to be... and ideas of a setting that we've overlooked or configured wrong? Jordy

we use a program called Impero - Impero Classroom and Computer Lab Management Software for the Entire Network basically the teacher can broadcast their screen to a group of users, from a main console. have a look, we find it very useful! let me know how you get on. -
Just wondered if anyone would be willing to share their IT policies in relation to copyright and use of copyrighted material?... had a few instances of what we believe are breaches, but want something in black and white to take to the powers that be to say it shouldn't be happening. anyone willing to share either via posting or pm??

Having a few issues with LDAP authenitcation with Resourcespace - i want to use the option for groupbased creation (students get fewer rights than staff - depending on what AD group they are in) i can set it (using config.php) so that all users can log in and are created as general user, but i want staff to have higher rights to upload and edit etc... i have set the groups but get the error "C:\inetpub\wwwroot\resourcespace\plugins\posixldapauth\hooks\all.php line 70: Undefined offset: 0" so i have changed hooks\all.php to read: "if ($ldapauth['groupbased']){ $match = true;" this gives the error: "C:\inetpub\wwwroot\resourcespace\plugins\posixldapauth\hooks\all.php line 86: Undefined index: usergroup" any ideas what could be wrong - i can post up copies of the config if needed and also hooks\all.php any ideas anyone Jordy

Create a recovery partition to automatically recover...
Jordy-Gaz replied to Jordy-Gaz's topic in How do you do....it?
thanks for that Steve - i've basically got what you put into the first code box. only difference being is mine doesn't say "mount --bind /mnt/backup /home/partimag" mine is just "mount --bind /mnt /home/partimag" could that be the difference ... also i was just wondering where that should be edited - i've edited the menu.lst file in the NST folder on C:\.... its the only place it appeared to work Thanks again for the reply... Hi - i am just working on creating a recovery partition for a laptop which i want to automatically image upon a key press from the end user - i'm using clonezilla and i have created the following partitions, system reserved (100mb) local disc (200gb) windows 7 recovery (10gb) clonezilla installed image (22gb) image from clonezilla is on here i have used easybcd to create another boot option called "recovery" which boots into the recovery partition to start the clonezilla program. basically i have copied clonezilla onto the recovery partition which runs - but i'm struggling to get the image to automatically set off:confused: any help will be great!

i've tried a USB keyboard - same symptoms - with regards to the FN thing - the only funny thing i've noticed is that the left ctrl doesn't appear to work - like for copy and paste (or even changing tracks in spotify!!) the desktop opens up a seperate window for each double click - so it appears the ctrl is an issue - it appears to copy a folder if i move it around the desktop. could this be causing it....

nah its not under warranty - and it works perfectly after i go to switch user - its just the initial step. the thing that confuses me is that it doesn't work in bios either ( i cant F2 into the bios to check the settings in there... do you think resetting the bios is a valid option? cheers for the reply

Can anyone help...i've got a toshiba satelite pro l300 laptop and the keyboard is very tempremental - it will only fully work when logged in and i have been to switch user - even though there is only one user, this is the only way to get the full operation of the keyboard. i can't access the bios as the keyboard doesn't register the key presses until logged into windows - if i crash out of windows i have to wait for the 30 second period as pressing any key (even carriage return) pauses the timer and doesn't allow any other selections. like i say the only way to get the fully operational keyboard is to log in - start - switch user - select user and then it works. i have tried to plug an external keyboard in but to no avail... still the same error. i have tried to re-install windows xp - vista and windows 7 but i cant select any options during the setup process as the keyboard fails to work... any ideas anyone?
