Just a heads up, linux doesnt do well on the Macbooks i have tried it on, the linux just seems to be really really slow(like running xp on a windows 95 based pc) but the windows part works great, but i tend to use parrels more than boot camp. and that way i dont have to leave the mac OS.

i brought my first mac (mac mini G4) of ebay for £150. i am now on a Macbook (blackbook, intel core 2 duo, 2gb ram, 250gb hdd, dvdrw) £1200 brand new from pcworld. i have to says it great bit of kit. but i wouldn't of paid that amount of money straight away. without try a mac out first and seeing what all the whoha was all about. thats why i brought the mac mini to try out first. But as people are going to tell you, you can buy better spec pc/laptop than what you pay for for a mac. macs are for some people, not for others. so try it out at a apple store or see if you can get an intel one of ebay to try out. my mac mini is now used as a media center in the bedroom, and i control it with my iphone.

2-3mins on a toshiba pro a300 laptop intel core 2 duo. 2gb ram 250gb hdd, xp cc4 and it was wried into the wall and not using the wireless at the time.

cheers people. I'm going to get the middle package from o2. I'm a customer already so i get it for £10 then the line rental from BT for £11.58. Just heard back from the letting agency that the landlord has accepted me, wife to be and the little westie dog. they said we should be able to get in on the 12th give or take a few days. I had to pay them £176.25 to do a search on me and my partner. (just to comfirm we are working and we dont have any CCJs against us.) mental i tell ya Then they want 1 month and a half rent (the half is to cover the dog incase it does stuff) deposit and a month rent advance. then £50+VAT checkin fee on the day of entry and they we have to get contents insurance befor we can move. which is £90+vat with the letting agency.

yes indeed 10.6 will only run on intel chips. G4 & G5 will run 10.5 without a problem. my G4 mac mini is running 10.5

Right so me and partner, have applied for a 3 bed house. just waiting to hear if we have been accepted by the land lord then all the checks can start. As we want broadband at the house, so we gonna need a telephone line which is a pain as we dont use the landline what we have at my parents at the moment we just use our mobiles. If we lived in a virgin media fiber area i would go for there 50mb broadband (what i have at my parents). so what are the best deals at the moment i dont care for speed really, i care more for unlimited download usage. Also what would it cost us to get up and running? All i know about the place is there a line going to the house from the telephone pole.

we have been together for 8 months now, never had a fight at all. we moved in with each other 2 months into the relationship. she wants a reception wedding, which im not gonna complain about but hey thats a year or so down the line. Children are also on the cards later down the line (after we are married) that is.

I did indeed, i had a problem tho as she didn't have any rings, i couldn't get a ring . So i got a ring box and put the stone that i gave her on our first date (we walked along the beach after going bowling so we could talk. it was kinda heart shaped). To day shes going to get measured then i will know the size so i can get a ring.

Right yesturday i had a girl friend, now she has become my Fiancé. Im so glad she said yes!!!
