You may need to revert back to a 1 week cycle, then on the Cycle menu simply choose 'Create Week Two', choose your preferred way of labelling lessons in each week ie 1 and 2 or A and B.

In Nova follow route Data | Refresh Base Data from SQL. Enter your SIMS username and password and the Refresh Base Data wizard will start up. Tick the Levels box and follow the wizard through selecting whatever levels are required.

Use Minimum Periods In the Model screen, Increase the minimum periods of, for example, a 5 period block, to 6 periods. Do this by right clicking on the block and choosing Minimum Periods. In the block screen drag all but one of the classes on to fit in with the sessions 1 to 5. Schedule these 5 sessions. Then take the other class which has the same teacher allocated and drag it onto session 6. Go to bands screen and you can see the 5 sessions which have been scheduled. The 6th session is not scheduled and contains the 2nd class with the same teacher. On band screen click and drag this class onto the period where the other class has been scheduled. It will then come up with a displace unit window. Place a tick in the lock/clash and this will then lock the clash in place. 2. Place the teacher on the timetable afterwards In classes, put the teacher on one class with the correct number of periods. Put the same teacher on the second class with 0 periods. (Right click on the teacher code on the Classes screen to reduce the period number). This means the block can be built and scheduled, but one class will be without a teacher on the timetable. It may be necessary before building the block to check the Sessions screen, where the class with the teacher for 0 periods should appear with the teacher showing 0 in the Plan and Used columns under Attributes and should not appear in the Sessions area on the right (right click to remove the teacher from here if necessary). After scheduling, you can go to Timetable | New | Department (or another convenient timetable display), right click the class and choose Add Staff - filter for all teachers and find the appropriate teacher, when this teacher is selected, you will be offered the option to 'double up'. Rooming To room the two classes, use a timetable display. Right click the Room Code and choose Add Room. To add the same room to the second class, use the Add Room function again, search using the radio button on 'All' and choose the option to Double Up when the room is selected.

It's a client workstation problem so only do this on any PC to be used for the SWC not on the server. The path should have been C:\Pr Files\Sims\Sims .net in my first reply.

Find the WorkForceReturnSettings.xml file in C:\Sims\Sims .net and rename it .old Run S:\Sims\Setups\SIMSApplicationSetup.exe and it will put a new copy of the above file in the folder to resolve the issue.

Is your SIMS really on 7.114? The current version is 7.152 or 7.153!

Profiles uses different templates to Individual reports but it is still a mail merge process and hence the problems with tags showing instead of data etc are the same.

Yes, applies to both Profiles reports and Assessment Manager individual reports.

I came across the following advice which seems to work:- "Clone a report, edit the template, save it in Word and close, then save in SIMS. Open the template again, click somewhere random on the template (not making any changes) then close Word and save in SIMS. Running the report should then work. I've found that running the report straight after editting the template doesn't work, the fields don't pull through, however opening the template once and then running it does work. Any changes to templates (which were created in Office 2003 at least) seem to require this process."

Noticed in the screen shot that the dbase option has been selected - it should have been the top option.

Please check in IEP Writer the following:- Tools | Options | Program Options tab make sure that Use Special Captions File is set to Yes (bottom right hand corner) You will probably have to close IEP Writer and re-open it again for the change to take affect.

I'm unable to get either Absenses or Classes data generated from Green Abbey training data to import. Both say 0 records imported. The Excel reports output from SIMS look fine - same as the example provided above. Have enabled Macros in the Trust Centre and tried to Clear data as the supplied file contains data already - that doesn't work either. Any ideas please?

As far as I know it doesn't make any difference whether you import on a server or a workstation.
