Ok..... I need to install this software to a network share and run it from there. Normally, this is not a problem as I can copy the applications files to the share and it's done. With the Collins Primary software though, this is not an option. The software requires Apache to be installed at the same time and the installation path for the database is included as part of the installation routine. I cannot install it on the server as I don't have the required permissions to do so (the server is managed by another team), nor do the school have an Application Server I can utilise. I was hoping/planning on installing the software to a location that only staff have access to and then creating shortcuts on the desktops. Anyone got any ideas?

If you are still on a custom rom at the minute, yes please. It might be something obvious that is causing it. If you have already gone back to stock then it doesn't matter

I have 2 issues with this post. Firstly, CWM is not, i repeat NOT, a kernel. It is simply a recovery environment, much like the winpe environment used to repair windows. Secondly, the installation of apps immmediately after flashing will not cause this. It is memory leak or background system app causing the problem. @X-13 and @CHR1S can you both do something for me? Post your phone model numbers, android version, kernel version and firmware build version? Also go into battery status and check what is causing the battery drain. Ideally your android system and Android OS should both below 10%.

You should almost always get your stock samsung firmwares from Firmwares | SamMobile Even the carrier branded firmwares are available.

The last one is really tough!! Fun though
