It's a replacement to Facility. As far as I know Facility will still be available for a while but will eventually be phased out to be replaced with Progresso.

Forgot to say that I have a seperate worksheet that references the original exam results worksheet and converts the grades in points. The formula to get the 8 highest grade then references this spreadsheet. I then hide the tab for this worksheet so that it's a bit tidier.

Are you trying to work out the capped point score? If so, I use =SUM(LARGE('Range',1), LARGE('Range',2), LARGE('Range',3), LARGE('Range',4),LARGE('Range',5), LARGE('Range',6), LARGE('Range',7), LARGE('Range',8))

If it's the bitlets you want to change you need to edit the bitlet.xml file. It should be in \eportal\Facility\ePortal\webapps\eportal\conf. Once these have been edited you then need to restart services and the changes should be present. This is the route I took and everything seemed to work OK.

Hi, We're currently in the process of setting up parental access through ePortal. We're starting off trialing it with a small group of pupils. I set it up in my previous school too and it was all pretty straightforward and didn't really have many queries/problems from the parents (famous last words and this time it'll go wrong!)

Anyone in Birmingham know what's happening with the December upgrade? Link2ICT had it on it's website this morning but now it's got the September upgrade back on. Thought I was going mad for a moment then!

I think the bitlet has been turned off in ePortal, along with a couple of others, so I'll have to look at getting them back up. Thanks for your help though

Hi Does anyone know if its possible to view documents through ePortal that have been saved as PDFs in CMIS? I downloaded some notes on it and followed the instructions but I am unable to see them on the ePortal screen. When I've just looked on the internet for some additional notes I've noticed that there is a document storage add-on. Would I need this to view the documents? Thanks for your help.

Thanks but I just changed everyones access rights in the end so they can do it themselves. Should have really just done that in first place but thought there might have been a slightly quicker way

Ah right, in that case its probably easier for the data set to be changed for each user than doing one change to cascade down. There goes my quick way of doing something:)

Hi Guys Does anyone know how I can change the data set that CMIS defaults to for all users? Would I need to do it on the server or is it a setting on master config? Thanks a lot

There was a report written that I was passed that pulled out any contacts that were thought to be the same but had different ID numbers. I'll see if I can track it down and let you know it.

The computer that it's on is apparently having other problems as well so I don't know if that may be the cause of it. The last place I worked in had it so that the login box loaded up automatically so now my heads going crazy trying to figure it out because I know it's possible. I'm waiting on a call back from Link2ICT as our teacher timetables aren't loading properly on ePortal so I'll try and sneak the question in there at the same time.

Yes that'd right. It's located in the same area as all our other CMIS files. I'm sure there's a way that you can set up CMIS so that it automatically opens it up rather that us having to select the file manually. I just can't think what it is right now!

Hi I have a problem with one of the computers. When I load up CMIS and goto 'file' to select the path to the correct file the file name is often not there. Also, when going to open it it often resets itself to go back to 'My Computer' rather than the area of the network where it is contained. It's obviously possible for the person to find the relevant file from 'My Computer' but she is starting to find it frustrating, especially as she know she should just be able to go to file and then click it. I'm sure this has a really obvious answer, but does anyone know how to change the settings so it saves the pathway in the file drop down box? Thanks a lot
