Ive had City Link and Yodel issues. Yodel chucking package with wedding dress in over fence... City Link (while I was parking across road).. pulling up outside house.. seeing it was a busy road with double yellows... and driving off. Call to City Link and he was made to come back. (Not the first time he had done it - eg failed delivery but never left a card)

We have had very slow response time in IE since the summer. Then spotted this. Resolved our issues. Might not be connected, but worth a try. http://www.rm.com/Support/TechnicalArticle.asp?cref=TEC3998947&nav=0&referrer=MyLibrary

We (myself and fiance) sign for a house tomorrow. The one she is in now with her daughter is nasty (black mold etc), so been wanting her to move for ages. I will move in October (wedding). I'm still with parents atm, but feeling of having own place is brilliant. Fortunately my fiance has already got almost everything we need, so just got a few bits to get (new wardrobe and bed for step-daughter etc)

[news] It's not just the law that's an ass!
Hawkeyez replied to laserblazer's topic in Jokes/Interweb Things
My nephew missed out this year on 100% (would have been 3yrs in total), but was off 1 day. This was when the school told his mum (my sister) not to bring into school, as they suspected pox (it wasn't) If I child has a genuine reason to be off, it shouldn't go against them. -

Our main issue is battery life, as they would be needed for the whole school day. We currently have now aging RM Mobiles that have the spare battery banks, but not found much of a replacement (Dell Latitude 3340 maybe) Any ideas?

[video] Marriage Proposals are getting a lot more complicated...
Hawkeyez replied to LeMarchand's topic in Jokes/Interweb Things
I "proposed" last week (we had already decided to marry), but still wanted to do. She said she didnt want anything public, or expensive. In the end got this.... Love Hearts Trinket Box With Marry Me and message on the wrapper. I was worried to cheesy, but made her cry (in a good way) -
Nooooo its been revised, new version out in July. Bound to be some changes, so don't start yet until upto date on the latest training standards (Exam is extra, and only at a verified exam centre)

Hawkeyez replied to abillybob's topic in General Chat
I've had one of these running XBMC for the last few years. Modding the Acer Revo | bit-tech.net Media is stored on a Freenas box in another room. -
Same here, not that we saw this one much since he took over in early part of the year.

Getting married and changing user names...
Hawkeyez replied to Koldov's topic in Windows Server 2008
Works fine under CC3, done about 6 in the last 2 years. I also create an exchange mailbox with the original name, and stick a forwarder on it to their new account. -
Played on Dayz once in the last month.... saying that my home PC has hardly been on in that time. Time of year I suppose with "sun" and all that.

Hi We are looking to expand our pupil laptops this summer, but have now been hit with an issue. In the past, we have gone for RM Mobiles, partly for the toughened screen, but also the multibay battery chargers. However, as RM have now stopped the RM Mobiles, and cant supply mutlibay chargers for the standard laptops, I need to find another solution. Does anyone else use another supplier, that can also supplier a method to charge spare batteries? Laptops get used all day, so no time to re-charge fitted batteries during the day.
