I'm gonna go with Casino Royale 2006 for me too. The newer movies are far closer to the books, much more dark and gritty. Followed by Goldfinger. Then Goldeneye. Worst movie? Die Another Day, for sure. Just a bad movie.

We will be collecting all ours in, the DfE ones, the ones provided by our opportunity area, and our own spares. We'll then be using about 250 of them as 1:1 devices for year 5 as part of our normal 1:1 rollout plans. The rest (about 250) will be distributed to families across our schools who don't have a device at home, or kept as spares.

The big difference between Youtube and someone like Netflix is that Youtube explicitly want people to be able to embed videos in their sites. Also, Youtube don't use any DRM on their videos, whereas Netflix does. It would take a new way of doing things from Youtube and it would have to scale well.

So starts another game of whack-a-mole. Block half a dozen sites? 20 more will appear. The order is just one blocking a number of sites. Nothing special technologically.

We use 2 systems here, for 2 different use cases. For onsite stuff, we have Sophos XG - its a good system overall. A little complicated to manage at times, and built in reporting isn't amazing. For Chromebooks, which are taken home - Securly. Expensive. Inflexible (eg. no regex support). But, it has good reporting, and some really nice safeguarding features.

All schools have a HR dept. Its either in house or outsourced. LEA schools use the LEA HR dept. Academies/MATs either have a HR person or team, or an outsourced one they use.

Any servers/switches/APs/printers are named with a site code XXX-devicetype-YY eg. DMS-PRN-01 Client devices are named DEVAssetID eg DES27332123 or LAP47327622 Client devices have a habit of moving around, so there's no need to mark them geographically by their name - can see where they are by OU/IP/Description

We have a single domain across all our schools (we couldn't see any value in creating actual subdomains for each school). We bought a new domain just for this task, and then created a subdomain of it for the AD domain. eg internal.domain.tech etc...

Server has been wiped and updated to pack v0.4.1 - moving from 0.3 to 0.4 required a full new world due to changes.

To be honest, that all sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. The whole point of a HR felt is that they are external to the usual management structure so are not directly involved in any issues that come up - they're somewhat unbiased. Not having an IT dept is another weird one. It is near enough impossible for a company to comply with all its legal requirements without dedicated staff. So my guess is that they just outsource it. I think the problem were seeing here is actually one the BBC causes far too often. Articles with far too little detail being published. It's basically clickbait.

We use Google Workspace across all our schools and nurseries, so Chrome is the most sensible answer for us. We have Edge installed for everyone, but very few use it.

So you'd have something like this in CFD. When saved/exported, then imported into 3CX it'd then have its own extension number. People internally would need to call this number. If you don't want to change the number people dial, you would give the queue a new number, and give the CFD app the old queue extension number.

Interesting. My use case is a little unique - I want it for my PC. I currently have 2 Amazon Echos and a Echo Sub, but I can't connect the PC to them all as you can only use analogue in to one of them. A Studio would allow me to have somewhat stereo sound from my PC, whilst also being a part of my multi-room setup. I could then move the Echos elsewhere in my flat.

1 - you should be able to use Call Flow Designer to create what you want. 2 - as mentioned by DGardiner, you can create as many templates as you want and assign them as you want too

We've been running it for about 5 years here, originally at one site, and now rolled out to 6 of our 8 sites (soon to be all 8). Its a good system, especially if you need to dabble with anything more complex you can use the Call Flow Designer).

They've only ever been an added cost. The features in the existing free version are remaining free. The extra audit logs are just that, extra.

That's what I said? VLAN only networks appear in the Network box, so the need for a USW seems to be wrong.

From what I can see, you can assign a VLAN to a Unifi SSID (VLAN only networks appear in the Network box) too, so that doesn't seem strictly correct.

3 letter domains are some of the most expensive domains in the world these days. 2 Letter domains even more so. So £5000 for one? Seems entirely reasonable. But as you say, that's not a suitable amount to spend for a school.
