Hi all, In a school, one of the finance users when trying to access a shared calendar in Outlook gets the following error :- the set of folders cannot be opened The other user however, can view this shared calendar. Outlook M365 is up to date having checked their Outlook. Any help much appreciated. Thank you

Hi all, Pupils in a primary school use Canva and require an M365 email address to login apparently. Just wondered if anyone who has set this up in schools what permissions you set them up with and passwords please ? The pupils have licenses for M365 Apps for students. Hi all, Have a user with Windows 11. When not in school, they VPN from home to the school. VPN connection is fine, but sometimes access via mapped drives is unavailable. If I test from my own Windows 10 laptop, it's not a problem, does Windows 11 have an 'extra' layer of security or something that could be causing this ? Thanks all

Local Authority apparently !!!

Hi all, Have a school who use SIMs \ FMS installed on a VM and an onsite server. Had the following email from the local authority:- The school have been having a few issues with SIMS Next Gen so we need to get ESS involved and monitoring the server for a few days. To do this though, we’ll need a couple of things updating on the Server. Would it be possible for you to assign 4 virtual processors to the SIMS VM (it currently has 1 assigned) and also patch SQL 2016 to the latest version? Once this is done we will be able to log the call with ESS. I’ve tried to do this before without these things done and they won’t help until they are! I've not heard of SIMS Next Gen or ESS, does anyone know what this is about, I assume it's next generation of SIMs by the sounds of it being supported by someone called ESS !!! Also, how do you assign 4 virtual processors to the SIMS VM ? Will this have impact on the main DC itself ? Thanks all

Hi all, Have a Windows 2016 HP Proliant ML30 Gen 9 Server. I know the server is getting on a bit now. Have BluescreenView on the server and it shows a critical process error with driver ntoskrnl.exe It always seems a common error this one. The server has been powered off a couple of times recently due to electricians onsite, so not powered down normally. I wondered if these errors relate to that. Thank you

Thanks all, it wasn't a Intel RST VMO Contoller Driver after all !!! Sorry. The laptops are AMD !!! Apparently the laptops were shipped as Windows 11 Home. Anyway, installed Windows 11 Pro but was having problems with creating the image. Was using Macrium, software that I really like and use often, but upon trying to do the backup, it wasn't picking up the drives of the laptop. It was assigning C Drive to the bootable USB. Ive come across this before some time ago, but couldn't remember how i got around it. Maybe the version of Macrium I was using is out of date. Anyway, I tried Iperius backup software and it worked, so I just went with that.

If I may ask, will I need to link the AD on site logins with Azure as they are not currently synced with each other ? and if so, if I may ask, if this sync is setup, forgive me, not done it before, does this then mean staff will be logging in to their onsite systems with their M365 credentials ? Hi all, Have a school that have signed up to Canva (never come across it before). Looks like some cloud service for school resources. Is anyone out there using it ? https://public.canva.site/canva-edu-district-resources/#page-4 The school have an onsite AD server, does not have ADFS installed. They use M365 for emails etc. Canva has asked apparently which the school are using Azure or ADFS, but they aren't using either. Has anyone installed ADFS on Window Server ? Is it ok to be installed onto one domain AD server ? It comes as part of one of the roles in Server Manager, but I would like to know if there are any prerequisites or problems on the domain that may occur if I install it ? Thanks all for any help.

The issue is still outstanding. Oddly, it happens in Chrome, Edge, Brave, every browser, even after clearing cache. Also, when logging into the school website with any browser it keeps saying that the logged in user "is currently using 1 other browser. Be aware: multiple users editing the same page can result in changes being lost" This is even when the user has logged out of all browsers. Very odd

Hi All, Just wondered if you have come across Google Chrome caching issues before. Have a school whose finance logs into the school website to edit pages etc. Once they are logged in via Google Chrome to the website to edit pages, the pages are blank. However, using new incognito window or other browsers works fine. Clearing the cache does not resolve the issue if they use the original Google Chrome page instead of new incognito window. They have the latest version of Chrome installed. Just wondered if anyone had come across these type of caching issues in Chrome and how they resolved it. Thanks all

The supplier keeps saying the Pro Plus version cannot be removed. Removing the Pro Plus had cut their licensing cost by half. Any clarification would be most welcome. Thanks all

Hi all, Trying to install the Meraki Systems Manager via the app store onto some ipads. Once downloaded onto the ipad and then go to install the profile, keep getting a profile installation failed error. All Ipads connect to the internet fine. Any advice much appreciated. Thanks all

Hi all, Have a school who are still on the systems manager legacy & free 100 license, which retired on 2nd Feb this year. Their license is coming up for renewal for the MR Enterprise wireless access points they currently have. The supplier has offered them a good price for a 10 year license. However, i'm a bit puzzled how this licensing works if the school upgrade their wireless points. 1) If they take out the 10 year license and they decide before the 10 year period is up, that they wish to replace the access points with another model, does this 10 year license still work or do they need another license ? 2) If they take out the 10 year license, they then need to stay with the current access points they have for 10 years ?
