Personally I would go for an Iomega one. They are brilliant and also support upload of the backup stuff atomatically to the cloud if its a future requirement.

Just trying to make sense of IOmeter results for an ISCSi San solution. Currently getting from 1 hours "All in one" test but not sure if the results are good. The Hardware is 6 x 600GB drives in raid 50 with 2 x 1GB network cards to it. What would people expect I/O and Mb/s written to the disks be roughly? I'm currently getting 19.4MB/s and around 1600 I/O /sec I am not using Jumbo Frames at present just Flow Control. Although I'm planning to test to see if it makes a difference.

From what I just read (didn't look into details) you should be able to do that with VMware view for the persistent disks and temporary disks as you can host these in separate datastores to the rest of the devices. Just means if you are still using ESXI you can have it all intergrated into the same system rather then having seperate. With regards to @Arthurs post I've recently fitted a 2.5" ssd into a 3.5" drive slot on a DL180. But adding the drive into the 3.5" converter that came with it then into a drive caddy.

I'm looking to put some speakers in a car for my little brother along with a new Head unit. This car doesn't have any rear speakers I can splice the audio connection from which is what i did on my previous car (disconnecting the old speakers). What i am proposing to do is detach the speaker connection from the back on the head unit and then run new cabling through the car to the back. My stumbling block is i don't know which cables are the speakers. Is anybody able to shed light on it? The attached are the pictures of the connections in the car. Its an S reg Renault Clio if thats any use to people!

Used to use Fog's client which could schedule shutdown if a user hadn't been logged in for x period of time (you could also force). You could probably get the source code to that and look at how that was achieved, i'm fairly sure it did something like check with server for login status (as it tracked that too) then shutdown if needed. Any Particular reason Xen over VMware for VDI? You might struggle as pci ones like the OCZ revodrive are actually two ssd's on a controller with a mini-raid but you need drivers for it to be seen as I struggled with one for an Open-E san i built.

do they look to specific ou? distribution group in a different one?
