Turns out that if you install Mozilla Firefox and then repair the plugin Google Chrome will pull that plugin in. It is an activeX based plugin and FF & Chrome doesn't support it, but FF has a plugin for webkit that makes activeX work. Google Chrome somehow taps into this. I discovered this on another thread about activeX issues, so any Google Chrome activeX issue might be solved by this solution. Happy hunting!

We are currently using Renaissance Place Real Time (Renaissance Learning - Advanced Technology for Data-Driven Schools) to handle much of our practice, quizing, and diagnostic work in the classroom. It has a feature when viewing reports, etc that you can automatically print PDFs through the system. To do this it uses a print plugin (Renlearn Print Plug-in Installers for Renaissance Place software) for the browser that seems to be giving us problems in Google Chrome. We would like to move all of our browsers to Chrome for speed and security but this is a major hitch. The weird thing is that it works on two machines that we installed it on, but we can't figure the right order of how it got working. Anyone else experience this problem? Thanks, Daniel

We have a laptop tablet pc lab at our school and are running into an issue with the students playing with a piece of the software that comes with the Microsoft Experience Pack called InkBall. We want to keep some of the Experience Pack, but don't want them to have access to the InkBall game. I have tried manually deleting the file and it COMES BACK! Any suggestions?

I wish I could get my school to pop for a trip "across the pond"!!

I don't know much about reimaging macs from the server but I make images of my computer all the time. I just use disk utility after I have configured and setup the mac to my specs and then make an image from my local computer. When I last upgraded my hard drive I just restored the image using disk utility and it took about 15-20 minutes to restore and booted with no problems. Make sure though that you don't have MobileMe turned on when you are imaging. Caused me TONS of headache with conflicts! Good luck!

HodgeHi is right. Just boot to your installation disk while having your USB disk plugged in. If it is already mac formatted then it should come up as an option to install to. Make sure not to over write your installation of the current operating system though. Also you can go to disk utility to erase it if you need to but the installation can do it as well. Good luck.

I find the bluetooth mighty mouse is great. It isn't as heavy as many other bluetooth mice I have used. I would agree with people that the scroll goes out, but I have never had to crack it open. Usually if you take a moist towelette or a paper towel with glass/multi-surface cleaner and roll it back and forth on the ball it is good as new. I love the options of the mouse and the ability to reassign things. I can't use the side buttons at all though...turns out that is exactly where I grip the mouse so I just disabled them. I setup the scroll button as expose all windows so my productivity is super fast with that.
