ill be honest, this is actually stupid. put things on offer then not able to cope with demand. i just thought "ohh i might get that". when i placed in basket, 61 in stock, by the time the basket page had loaded, 35 in stock. by the time payment page had loaded, out of stock.

ive just updated and they have a tv stand with £50 off and a security peep hole viewer with about 70 off. other than that, still tat oh and cheapest posting is £6 roughly. thats 4 days, next day is nearly a tenner. free is >49 yeah
-
I got on, and seriously, it's all tat. Wii controllers that are usually abot £3 are now £1. Not forgetting it's £5.99 delivery (unless you order over £50) so the minimum order is £6.99 for something that costs a pound.

Have just seen that. Thing is, in their small print it says £1 "on all clearance items", so basically bargain basement anyway. I mean a magenta ink cartridge for a certain printer....bonus if you own that printer but were people expecting a laptop and TV for a quid? It also seems slightly bad business as the thousands of non members who hear about this via facebook and the likes, hammer the site, buy a usb cable for a pound then never return, in the meantime the regular users have to wait 6 hours to order the bits they normally want. So if you're in the market for a USB cable, a USB cable or a magenta ink cartridge (and a USB cable) get on to their sale

Wales Football Manager Gary Speed Has Died, Aged 42 [Apparently Suicide]
MK-2 replied to 6Foot2's topic in General Chat
See I'm the opposite, I will still give my opinion, I just think the anonymouse negative rep being given is ridiculous. Why not just post in here and say "that is a bad attitude, why do you think it is selfish" rather than rep-sniping. Asking the question in here will generate a discussion on it, rather than hitting negrep and thinking "ha, that showed him" -
And there's me thinking a BICNIC is like a Brummie PICNIC

Well partially because it's the last one out, I preferred the first two or three ones that steam doesn't seem to have.

Wales Football Manager Gary Speed Has Died, Aged 42 [Apparently Suicide]
MK-2 replied to 6Foot2's topic in General Chat
I wouldn't worry, I too got hit for stating my opinion. As mine said, "What a great attitude - suicide is always tragic. Who the hell are you to judge it selfish!" It appears that to talk on these forums now you should be able to provide legally backed documents for any thread. I based my opinion on the situation and my personal experience, unfortunately i didn't back it up with a psychology degree and various articles i've written regarding suicide I have re-edited to include the proper comment, not just a snippet. I never said suicide isn't tragic either, but why let that get in the way of a good neg rep -
love it although if it were to work like that, by the time you've had a to and fro with it, surely its quicker and easier to pick up a remote and press 3 (or 103 or whatever channel you have assigned to itv).

you need to but the CSI upgrade pack for that On a side-note, what exactly does that code do? what is the program/function it is typing? -
Rumour has it Apple are planning a TV that can understand gestures and voice aimed at it and respond to them. Firstly, I'm assuming iTV won't be allowed, you know, with consumers getting confused with the channel and the device both named the same....in the same way we get confused with a coffee shop called apple and a computer manufacturer, or does it only work one way? Also, what exactly is this going to be used for? One quote says As opposed to the channel up channel down nightmare we live in now? Surely the idea of a TV is you sit there, you watch it and that's it. By integrated I take it to mean no remote, because there is very little else a TV can do isn't there? So it will do things like "switch to BBC3"? Wowzers, I cannot wait [/sarcasm] Seriously though, I take it this is going to be aimed at existing Apple users, so they can upload movies from another i device?

I see you're taking on the Lucas role of using original footage, then adding to it again and again until people hate it

It only works like that if you have it projected on to a piece of glass in front of you, so one of you can touch the glass to highlight things and drag them about while you type in the code on the keyboard. this one appears buggy though, i seem to be missing the "decrypt communications" button and accompanying beeps and also the "97.32% positive match" icon when i search for anything on any database -
It looks fantastic. It plays like a rubbish version of CSI. Walk around crime scene looking for clues Follow up clues with someone, asking questions to gain right answers Go to interview someone else and either chase in car or on foot for 5 mins before catching them Haul them in for questioning and interview them in same manner as others That is it for 90% of the game. All cases are like that, murder, arson, drugs, the lot. They touted a lot on "look how detailed the faces are" which I can't disagree, but to say you can tell if someone is lying by their faces means "watch their face, if they look to one direction they are lying, if they dont its the truth". It seemed more a gimmick. Try it, you may like it, but I found myself bored of doing the same thing again and again with no real change....often searching around a crime scene for an hour because one tiny speck of a clue was impossible to see until you stood right over it

Trust me, you wouldn't, it's £3 well saved :/

Precisely, we don't know, so I am commenting on the information given to me and also using personal experience. I will wholeheartedly change my opinion if new facts come to light -
Wales Football Manager Gary Speed Has Died, Aged 42 [Apparently Suicide]
MK-2 replied to 6Foot2's topic in General Chat
But the thing is, he was on TV the day before. Now I doubt this is something he chose quickly, so even during that interview on TV it was in his mind. Maybe not immediate (perhaps something later that day triggered it) but chances are he had gone through what he would do in his mind already. So to hang yourself in your own home with (speculation obviously) your wife and children asleep is selfish regardless of the act. Depending on how/where there is a chance it also wasn't instant, so what happens then if his family find him but can't do anything to save him? -
What, no email? Pfft useless site!

Unfortunately suicide is a selfish act in many ways. The one thing that troubles me is that he did this in his home, presumably with a very good chance his kids could have been the ones to find him. -
I still have the company of heroes addons to do that i got in a steam sale about three years ago! arkham city does look good, but i'm just struggling to feel connected to it, although i have only played about 10 mins of it. it's also the first game to actually stutter in places with settings on max!
-
I only decided not to as I still have a load of games on there I haven't played, inc. arkham city which i got free with my gfx card....plus a bit of a playabout on DC universe online now its free to play, but nothing serious
