Do you know how I can see comment history in sims? We are not on next gen yet. I want to see a full comment edit history on register comments is there a way anyone can get that

Can anyone answer this question. If I write a comment in sims register to say a child was absent for example then later I speak to parent and want to update the comment. Does it show an edit history anywhere? Is there anyway audit that pulls through comment history. I’ve had instances where I’ve had to change a comment as someone has wrote over it by mistake but I want to know if anyone can see any of that. Thanks

Can anyone help with sims? If I write a register comment but go back later and add additional information or edit the comment. Is there anyway of anyone seeing my edited comments? I want to keep it in a tight chronology I’m not sure if there’s an audit that can be ran to show edits, time stamps etc. thanks

We take the registers on there and I will add comments for absences etc. my question is if I want to go and edit a comment to add more information or when I’ve received medical evidence does my original comment show anywhere? Is there an audit than can be run to show edits on comments. Some of my comments need more evidence but I don’t want it looking like it’s been changed. Can any school leaders or ofsted etc pull comment history?

On sims does it track comment changes? I write comments on the register page only. I had to add more detail to a comment but I’m unsure if an audit can be pulled by anyone and it shows a later date to the one it was for.

Hi I have a random question. I have taken over as attendance officer. I need to be better at logging my evidence so I contact parents they don’t answer then an hour can go by and they ring. I don’t update it on sims because I’m so busy or getting ready for my home visits and the office have taken the message and let me know I don’t need to attend. We had the heatwave for example last week and I couldn’t get them all done. Can I go back and log comments on SIMs will it show anywhere I did it after the fact? I don’t want it to look disingenuous. Also I’ve never had ofsted when working attendance but we are due. What will they look for. Do they just pull a child’s chronology or do they pull a full audit looking for edits etc because if they do then I won’t go back and add in that the parent did message or rang as they might question why it’s after the fact and although I can explain I don’t want it open to interpretation. We had around 200 last week because of the heat so you can imagine the pressure I was under
