After moving to a new apartment, I made a work/playtime space in the living room next to the TV. I took advantage of the short distance of the computer from the TV and connected the video card to the TV as well. So I have a monitor connected to my NVIDIA card via HDMI cable and the TV via DisplayPort cable. When I'm on the computer and the TV is off, I sometimes hear the sound of a device disconnecting and then connecting again. Through various methods, I have excluded everything except the connected TV. I use Win + P to switch screens, either duplication or expansion. I could even get used to that irregular TV reconnect sound, but every time it reconnects, the PC freezes for a second. Which is quite annoying while playing a video game. I've searched all over the internet, it seemed like I've even found the same problem, but nobody helped the person in question. I'm going to try it elsewhere after a few years, so hopefully I'll get lucky. The only solution I have found is to disconnect the cable from the TV or PC, but due to the location of both devices this is very impractical and annoying. Would there be any way to hard disconnect the TV without having to pull the cable out? I can think of a BAT file or a PowerShell script that would disable the "monitor" and then enable it again when I restart it. But I don't know how to do it... o.o
Addition: I use Windows 10.
