Your LEA might find this Help Centre article about the processing behind the scenes for each of the AI bots in Bromcom. https://docs.bromcom.com/knowledge-base/bromcom-ai-data-processing/ The AI Data Bot uses an Azure AI end point so all AI processing happens in Microsoft servers under Bromcom's control.

I handle a lot of the customer comms related to AI at Bromcom. Currently, AI is available as a general chatbot like ChatGPT and to query Help Centre content. AI can also be used to generate text for learning content in Student Portal and create messages to parents in different languages. We have never exposed customer data to large language models outside our Azure servers based in the UK. We now have access to Azure based Openai apis to use AI within the same servers where school data is hosted and that offers new opportunities for schools to use AI to analyse their data. Look out for changes in the MIS that will increase the scope of AI as a tool to work with your data. We are using AI internally to deliver efficiencies. It is an exciting area that is going to have a massive impact in all areas of our lives including school, work and beyond. We also know that schools and MATS want to adopt AI at their own pace so we will never force these changes on Bromcom customers and will always allow granular controls in roles, permissions and configurations so AI features can be launched in a way that is best suited to individual needs.

Bromcom's community is a place where people go to ask and answer questions about their MIS use. It is curated and lightly moderated so customers are also welcome to use the community to provide feedback and make product requests, but is intended to be a positive place to go and develop their knowledge or solve MIS related problems. We also run user groups where customers can talk to software about developing and improving the MIS. The community would not have grown to a vibrant platform of 8500 people with one million annual views unless there was a positive reason to keep coming back. All complex software benefits from online communities where new users can go to learn more about to how it all works. I am sure other MIS providers have forums that meet their customers in various ways and Bromcom is very proud of its own community's record over the last few years.

Good morning. We provide video recordings of webinars in our training portal. We also post short videos on the community and the Web Wednesday sessions are shorter training events that are recorded to be posted on the community. We used to have a Youtube channel but the algorithm kept blocking videos as dummy data was classified as sharing personal information and that meant we had to approach video sharing differently. We are very open to other ways of using video tutorials moving forward.

Finding Timetable Gaps in Bromcom (Community Question and Answer) Question: A Bromcom user is seeking advice on creating a report to identify students with blank lessons in their timetable, as these blanks cause issues with registers and lessons. They have tried using the Student timetable domain but found that the report only lists periods with values, not the blanks. Suggested Solution: One response suggests using the analysis exports module. (Modules > Analysis > Analysis Exports). By selecting attendance as the module and choosing empty timetable entries under export, the user can generate a report that highlights the blanks. The report will appear at the bottom of the page and can be opened by clicking on it. The response shows how the community is a great resource to help Bromcom users work together to solve their MIS problems. Using a Behaviour Event with Multiple Pathway Actions in Bromcom Question: A user is seeking advice on setting up a pathway to monitor uniform violations and assign lunch detentions by the head of year when a student reaches three uniform violations. They are struggling to map events to more than one action and are considering creating separate actions and watchlists for each year group. They are looking for a way to dynamically assign detentions based on the student's year group when an event is triggered. Suggested Reply: A helpful response suggests that shared actions can be used, noting that behaviour actions can be subject or department-based but not year-based. It is also recommended to enable year-based detentions in the configuration settings (Config > Behaviour > Configurations) and set up each detention type with year scheduling accordingly. The reply also points to a useful resource, the Shared Actions Web Wednesday session from 20 November, for further guidance and this was hosted on the community. This post shows how the problem can be solved using shared actions and proper configuration, encouraging users to explore the provided resources for more detailed solutions. [bromcom] Bromcom SSO Issue / Slowness
BromcomMatt replied to michaeljbrewis97's topic in MIS Systems
Hello. Thank you for sending me a PM with the case reference, which has been escalated. I have looked at the ticket and apologise you have not received a resolution sooner. To be fair, it has already been escalated to a third line colleague and a difficulty is we have no access to what happens on your tenancy side and we do not pretend to be experts in O365 management beyond the configs in the sync routine to create the link. Feel free to book a short CSM call with me personally over teams using the Need Help button in the MIS. I cannot promise to resolve the issue but seeing your screen might shed light to help resolve the case or understand if it requires a software fix or workaround. I hope that helps. -
[bromcom] Bromcom SSO Issue / Slowness

Good afternoon. I am sorry to see you have this issue. Are you happy to share the case reference so we can have another look and get it escalated? O365 cases are tricky as we have no access or visibility to your tenancy that sits outside the MIS. There are the sync logs. We have a number of ways that we can help you resolve issues: contacting helpdesk, asking on the community (8000 strong), attending daily drop ins, booking a CSM call and escalating a support ticket via the customer care team. If you are share the ticket reference I will look at the case to try and resolve it or suggest a practical workaround, I hope that helps. -
Hi Ollie. O365 provisioning works by taking group data and creating a one way sync to your O365 tenancy. The only way I can think of achieving this is to add SLT as coteachers in Bromcom so they are included in the provisioning sync. Are you on Bromcom's community? It might be worth asking there as there will be someone who has faced a similar issue and has developed a workflow to deal with such scenarios. You might also want to consider the api route to help with provisioning, exploring Power Automate or creating an SLT group on your tenancy that gives visibility to all the Teams as required but that will be outside the scope of Support. Feel free to raise a support ticket, but I think they will tell you the same as me. I hope that helps.
