Having recently gone through the process of choosing between Arbour and Bromcom, I found that the MCAS app is what really edged Bromcom over Arbour. Talking to a few Arbour schools the app is not very good. The sales person at Bromcom was definitely more transparent with me in regards to packages and cost. The Arbour team for what ever reason kept forcing me into multiple meetings/demonstrations when all I wanted was a price!!!! The tailored demonstration from both were good and clearly showed that my existing MIS was awful!

That's exactly what the other schools told me about the Arbour parent app when I was making the decision. They said the app was quite basic and was limited in what it could show parents. They also mentioned performance on some Android phones. When I visited a neighboring school they showed me the MCAS app and through a member of staff who had a child at the school. It was a complete game changer for us and was one of the reasons we moved forward with Bromcom.

Totally agree with the video. We have had to move twice due to MISs shutting down because they could not keep up. SIMs are an example of MISs having to adapt allowing better access remotely. Cloud computing will open the doors to AI integration and are already making integrations such as Google classroom so much more easier! Of course performance will need to be invested in to ensure success.

To be honest I don't think the sponsor is rubbishing their competitors and are merely stating facts through a case study. At my school I was also faced with the task of choosing between Arbor and Bromcom (which wasn't easy). Ultimately you had to see past the Arbor sales person who was quite secretive with his pricing and kept forcing my hand in order for him to reveal details. I am grateful that I had insight via other schools who went with Arbor and could see its floors which then lead me to ultimately go with Bromcom. At the end of the day you're putting your trust in an organisation who will be managing the heart of your school (The MIS). You don't really want to turn around after one year and then move again to another MIS because the system cannot meet your needs!

7 weeks into Bromcom now and staff are loving it! Yes there are some small performance issues but the ability to EASILY enter data and then track behaviour data is a such a help in our school. We're coming round to the first round of reporting using Bromcom and am hoping it is just as easy to use and pull Marksheets!

Is Bromcom AI actually working/gone live with internal data? I have enabled it but when I ask it a question about school data (e.g what rooms are free period 5?) it continues to just think. Very excited to get this up and running!

Is Bromcom going to be at The BETT Show 2024? You guys were so helpful when we were looking into switching MIS and we were soo impressed with what you had to offer at the show over your competition.

The Migration step for us was probably the hardest. Progresso (our old MIS) was not very forgiving which meant a lot if the data had to be manually inputted or imported. The transition step was probably the best for us. Staff welcomed it with opened arms once they could see what Bromcom could do for us!

Thanks for sharing this link. I was always a bit hesitant with accepting the AI function within Bromcom! After reading this I may now look at giving this a go!

We have just moved onto Bromcom and have experienced similar in terms of performance. Make sure you vote on the Bromcom Ideas page to have the performance improved/looked at. It currently has the most votes!

My School in NW London has just rolled out Bromcom in September moving away from Progresso. It has been like a jump forward in time! The way we can pull our data and customise settings is soo much more intuitive and powerful. The initial manager who brought us on was amazing and supportive to our needs. Migration was Ok-ish. I am one of the key drivers at the school and the use of the videos and CSM have been a great support to us. I love the online community and the ability to post a question and receive a response within a few minutes/hours!
