  1. You can tell easily! Home from work on the Thursday of Bett... And then after work on the Friday! Gutted! Mind they have lasted as work socks for at least 2 years now so not done badly at all. Still have nearly brand new pair at least
  2. Morning All, We have a load of Biostore white ID point systems we are removing. Is there anyone who can make use of them/need spares? Thanks
  3. Sadly is all too common at the minute by the look of things, know the current year 6 is low on numbers nation wide which will have a knock on effect. Add in things like VAT, NI increase, Living Wage and then Boarding market is becoming very difficult with costs of visas planned to go up. All in all not a pleasant time. The sheer amount of applicants I've seen for a tech role that have been made redundant or companies going under is showing it's worse out there than it has been for a long while
  4. We've seen some cases not be charged if found to be manufacturer issue, all dealt with without us (mainly me) getting involved, so personally I love that bit!
  5. You certainly did! Or what I like to think of as "the easy bit" 😉 For info of @bert113 I've found them to be really knowledgeable, very professional and the support is really good. The initial batch and those since were dropped off in batches and are all ready to go with easy setup and configuration as they have Azure access for this. For the support you basically create a ticket, hand a loan device out and stick the device in a crate with the ticket. collected every week if you have stuff going one way or the other and all between parents and Easy4U for all the rest. If you want to chat things through am more than happy to have phone call or messages on this. Chuck me a PM if you do and can arrange something.
  6. The reporting side seems ok, but misses things lightspeed picks up on. very odd. The classroom part is ok but has issues with any power saving settings, when we're all laptop based it's going to be tricky
  7. Or you end up getting an "it's a feature of the software" when it's not alerting us to dodgy searches, more than a bit frustrating at times. We're looking at Senso now because of this.
  8. Not long started reading Fourth Wing, haven't hit any adult moments yet! but enjoying it so far, is interesting enough although not read much of the genre lately.
  9. We're looking at the possibility now as well, one of our Techs previously did an apprenticeship with Ginger Nut Training and we just went back to them as it worked out really well. Hadn't spoken to them before but really quick replies and a call within an hour of initial contact with a good plan to move forward.
  10. In relation to this one, we've also run numerous Teams Network Assessment Tool reports and compared results in a "known good" area, and in the problem areas. The switches went in at the same time as the WiFi (or shortly after) and we've had support in stopping broadcast traffic in case it's that. Weird thing is it's still doing it during the Half Term break when you'd expect a lot less traffic as Pupils MacBooks aren't onsite
  11. Another Thumbs up for Jamf, last school I worked at we had a new Head and they wanted 1-2-1 iPads for Pupils and MacBooks for Teachers, the onboarding training was excellent, as was the support getting everything as we wanted it. Rolled out the devices easily and onboarded a suite of Music iMacs too. Prior to this I wasn't impressed with Apple machines, and have to say Jamf is the best MDM I've seen by far. Have since moved to all Apple school and it's a lot quicker to push changes that intune is.
  12. We're a mixed Mac/Laptop with Jamf/Intune MDM environment, with no real change planning in place at the moment. So is a case of implementing something.
  13. Hi All, We are looking at something to help us with change management, with a process to stop the "oh I'll just click this... Oooops" situations that pop up every now and then. What are you guys using? what's good and what's not about those products? Help is much appreciated. Thanks
