QR image for certificate for iPads easier than navigating the site

Don't think I got anything directly to me from E2BN, I am told by my tech who works in other schools he got an email from Central Beds saying changes were happening but no info on what we needed to-do obviously until today when we received a further email from Central. Its an easy change for domain etc thats fine but we have about 100+ iPads and even with Meraki we cannot see a way to push a .crt so we are going to have to manually do these.. :\

I was advised against disabling services to cancel a deployment that being said I was also told by Capita if you disable the deployment service for 10-15 minutes it will fail thus cancelling it. If the clients already have the latest version of the agent and SIMS it won't reinstall over them, it will install it on any clients that missed the update. I had lots of clients offline last time I ran an update and it took absolutely ages to 'cancel' or 'end' I am talking 2 hours

The one last year was awful, I don't know if it was official or not but I cannot remember it being very well advertised.

We use ShowMyHomework for well Homework and its pretty much made the VLE obsolete

A very vague suggestion but something we do we connect the iPad to an open wifi hotspot normally one of our phones, put in the iTunes login and let it settle then tell it to forget the hotspot and it connects to our domain wifi...or connect it yourself. We normally do this just as configurator is installing apps to the device

Just some feedback on the slowness issue I asked at a SIMS Update Seminar thing yesterday and they had no direct answer for it but I would say about 6 other schools have also noticed the slowness issue and this is on various different setups. We were reminded about the whole SQL upgrade to 2012 or 2014 this has to be before the summer release, they also talked about what looked like a full version of SIMS via an App on your phone which they are working on, was just a brief comment didn't actually get to see it. My last point the seminar was good but there were no cookies or biscuits of any type real let down

Anyone got a decent free template? Used to use the Edugeek Joomla package but don't think its going to work with latest version of Joomla and it hasn't been touched for years. Cheers
